Outerwear with the Ageless Style Link Up
This is a fun theme for the Ageless Style Link up because we live in different climates: we come from Arizona, Canada, Illinois, Georgia, Connecticut and Wisconsin! So I decided to show you the range of outerwear you might wear if you live a little north of Atlanta, Georgia. We have had snows here in winter (but only about every 7 years or so and maybe once in February), so usually a real down jacket is not typically needed. I tend to wear a variety of jackets/coats in the winter, and most of mine are thrifted. I am sharing some of the outerwear I have worn this month.

This year, we had some flurries and wind-chill of about 10 degrees at the beginning of the month, so I did wear my winter jacket a couple times. This was a great buy years ago at the end of the winter season, I have worn it a few times every year and on vacations to colder locations.
I shared 3 thrifted jackets earlier in January, and this thrifted denim bomber from American Eagle managed to make it home with me last month. It is lined and really cozy. I have dreams of moving to Kentucky or a few hours north from here because I really like marked seasons, but alas, that is probably not going to happen. So I take advantage of our cold days to wear all the layers.

While similar to the red and the olive coats I thrifted this winter, this plaid one (from Kohls a couple years ago) is a lot softer and a little lighter. I love adding it to dressier outfits or as an extra layer!

I have way more than I need for our weather, lol!

I love the plaid coat. I primarily wear my parka in the winter.

The parka would get more use if we had snowy winters, but I am glad I have it because it won’t go out of style and it doesn’t wear out.

Oooh, I love the plaid coat and your parka is pretty cute too!

The plaid coat is really classy and great for church, but also looks nice with pants. I really like that it is lighter than some other things in my closet.

Love the denim bomber! It’s such a different look from a regular denim jacket.

I am so glad that Jodie encouraged me to go for it! I texted her when I tried it since I was on the fence and I was so hoping she was up and about (that time difference, lol).

We have been surprised how much we need outerwear even here. Love all the options you have.

They are really a lot of fun and when I am not spending much on them while thrifting it is not hard to convince myself to add another to my closet.

In the Netherlands it’s about the same, though this year we did get a lot of snow. I have two coats. One down jacket and a ‘normal’ winter coat.

I definitely have more than I need!

Your weather sounds delightful! I am really loving that blue coat and that color is so on trend for spring this year! I want a better look at that jacket honestly! Also, I love a good tweed coat as it’s stylish, casual but can work well for getting all dressed up too. Also, the first coat you may not wear a lot but I know my sister lives in warmer temps and she likes to have a good winter options on the occasional times the temps get cold or like you they need them when they travel to go skiing.

I do love having options! The Caite and Kyla embroidered coat is actually really nice and warm, it’s heavier than you’d think, I haven’t worn it as much the last couple of years, but I do love it. I think I’ve featured it on the blog before with better close ups.

Really good outdoor outfits dear Michelle.
Have a good time

Thank you!

Great pieces!! I am enjoying buying outwear lately. Treated myself to a longer parka at the end of the season this year not to wear here in El Paso but like you said, to wear on vacations to colder climates. I love going to New Mexico every year to play in the snow.
Kentucky is such beautiful state. I have been fortunate to spend quite a bit of time in Lexington and it is so pretty in every season.

I get tempted so often when thrifting, so many options!
