Make Time for Friends
Last week, I drove up to Chattanooga to meet my friend Rachel whom I met through IG 3 to 4 years ago. We typically meet up for a little thrifting and lunch, but we have also met with the kids at playgrounds and the aquarium, and I went up for two of her book signing events. Here are the links to her books if you enjoy murder mysteries with a side of romance (here and here)!
We tried a new place for lunch which turned out pretty nice since all of the fixings for the salad looked fresh and there was a nice variety of dressings. We had to wear gloves to create our salads, and it was a self serve buffet type set-up. We enjoyed our meals outside and it was very affordable.

We always make sure to take pictures when we get together and we had to take a pictures with the beautiful mural across from where we ate. I love the outfit I chose to wear: Both the sweater and the pants were thrifted.
With the changes in our household with my parents moving in in less than 2 weeks, I am making sure to plan time with my friends. Making sure my cup is full with time away from the house is important!

This is the only thing I bought: a pair OTBT sandals for $12 (they retail $75 to $140 dollars depending if you buy them on Ebay or brand new).
A bientôt!

They really do! Now, I need to plan some date nights with the hubby, but there hasn’t been much free time to do so..

This sounds like such a perfect day! I love that your friendship started on IG and turned into real-life meetups—it’s always so special when that happens. The lunch spot sounds fun (and affordable is always a win!), and that mural is the perfect photo backdrop. Your thrifted outfit is so good too! Such a great reminder to make time for friends, especially during busy seasons.

Sometimes you make friends in unexpected ways! I have one friend I met at the zoo and we are still friends and in touch now which is about 15 years later!

Very good advice – friends are so important! I love your outfit, particularly the pants. Thanks for linking!

I had forgotten about those pants over the winter, so they were a nice surprise when I pulled out my spring clothes.
