Daily Outfits: Long Island, NY in the Spring
Well, this was one of those trips where I should have repacked after the forecast changed! It originally was going to be sunny during our week on Long Island, but the weather turned out cool and cloudy for most of the trip. I had packed a variety of shorts, linen pants in navy, white and stripes and while I wore some of what I packed, I also went thrifting for 2 pair of pants: a pair of cropped jeans and a pair of cropped olive pants. I wore sweatshirts everyday for at least part of the day and mostly wore the one pair of sneakers I brought along. This is…

Tropical Prints for the Ageless Style Link Up
It’s time for a new Ageless Style Link Up and I chose the theme of tropical prints because it’s a perfect summer print and I knew I could shop my closet. Tropical prints are often bright, but you can also find some more subdued colors if that is more your style. Since I am on a bright color kick right now, I chose two of my bright pieces. I chose to style two new outfits with items I had, and I am sharing a collection of other tropical print outfits below for more inspiration. I love the happy color and vibes these outfits give! Flowy Top in Orange Tones Summer…

Caramel Crossbody Bag and Summer White Dress
While I was looking at spring and summer trends for 2025 and getting some outfit inspiration on Pinterest, I can across some outfits featuring clothing pieces and accessories in caramel tones. A warm, pretty brown with golden undertones, caramel is a rich neutral color that I decided I wanted to add to my closet. I promptly went thrifting and found a few pieces such as a corset top, a tank top and a pair of shorts. I didn’t find a purse that appealed to me so I stopped by TJMaxx and came across this pretty crossbody bag! The color was exactly the rich golden brown I was looking for, the…

Caramel Shorts with Chambray Button Down
While pinning some inspiration pictures on Pinterest, I came across this cute little outfits featuring a pair of caramel shorts. To my happy surprise, I found a cute little pair of shorts in my new favorite neutral (caramel) the next day. My youngest and I went to take pictures by the pond for a change of scenery and you definitely can see how the inspiration outfit was the idea behind my outfit. I loosely based my outfit on this and of course, I could have made it a closer replication by wearing my white sneakers and a hat. But now that I have a pedicure, sandals are going to be…

Red for Summer: Shopping my Closet
I think I came across red for summer as a styling idea when I was looking for some spring and summer blog inspiration. I’ve always loved red, and have a few pieces in my closet, but I don’t always reach for them. Writing blog posts and sharing outfits really inspires me to shop my closet and rediscover loved items that I haven’t worn in a while. And I tell you, some outfits really put a little bounce in my step such as this first outfit. Boho Pants and Denim Vest I bought these fun pants on Poshmark after borrowing my friend’s navy pair for a blog post (here) and have…

Bohemian Pants with Denim Vest
There is a theme to some of my outfits this summer, and it is that they have a boho feel! I first shared these pants with a tan vest last year in this post, and this outfit has some similar vibes. Because the pants are so wide at the ankle, I like to have fitted or structured tops with it. The length also force me to wear high wedges with them, so I do not drag the pants on the ground. Today’s outfit turned out perfect for a mild day which was nice because otherwise the denim vest would have been too much. I found another occasion to wear my…

Weekend with My Racing Friends
Earlier this year, my friend Patricia suggested a Mother’s Day Weekend race with Atlanta Track Club. This race was to take place in Buckhead, in Atlanta and was to be 4 miles. 11 of us from our Saturday Sunrise running crew signed up and met for brunch afterwards. Patricia, her sister, my friend Gretchen (who I walk with and run with several times a week) decided to meet up the evening prior and go out to dinner and we stayed at nearby hotels. Gretchen and I shared a good laugh when I picked her up for our ride to Buckhead: we were dressed alike! It was really fun to have…

Bohemian White Maxi: 3 Outfit Ideas
I shared this skirt for the first time last month in an outfit I called bohemian dream. I have since worn it several times and have loved it each time. That is a confirmation that this fun maxi skirt was a good buy! Today, I am sharing 3 outfits that were inspired by some outfits I saw on Pinterest. With a Chambray Shirt I saw 2 outfits on Pinterest thatĀ featured a chambray and I liked both. I decided to first wear the skirt without a belt because I knew I would wear 2 outfits with belts for this blog post. I am so glad I am liking this thrifted…

Mother’s Day Outfit
We took my mom and dad out for Mother’s Day after church to the same restaurant we went to last year: La Cubana in Marietta. It’s just a few minutes from church, the food is good and the prices reasonable and there is a great mural for family pictures. While we waited for my parents, I had one of the boys take some blog pictures for me. I shared what I wore last year (here) and I wanted to wear something different this year. I chose this purple dress since I had not worn it in a while and I love the color and shimmery details. I shared it last…

Spring and Summer Purses and Totes
I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the purses that I like to wear in spring and summer. I like to rotate them every couple of weeks as I have a lot of totes and purses that are cute for the warm months. In the winter and fall, I tend to wear a purse for about a month before I alternate it. Here are some recent thrifted finds followed by a couple favorites that I have had a little longer and were not thrifted. Thrifted Fringe Purse What a fun find! The bag is a loose macrame and is very well made. I got it for justĀ …
