Graphic Tees for Spring and Summer
After styling a graphic tee last month for our Ageless style link up post, I was inspired to pull out my graphic tees and wear them with a variety of pieces in my closet. None of these combinations are new, but I did try to style them in ways I had not before. Here are outfits I wore a couple weeks ago. Inspired by Marsha I was inspired by Marsha’s Ageless Style post last month to put this look together. It is such an easy outfit to recreate as most of us have a white tee and a denim skirt in our closet. My skirt here is actually a thrifted…

Black and White with the Ageless Style Link Up
This month’s theme for the Ageless Style Link Up is black and white. I love this classy combination and have worn it several times as you will see at the end of the post. Since I had not worn this black, white and gold tunic in quite a while, I decided it was time for it to reappear on the blog. I think I have had for about 10 years and I think the cut and colors make it a timeless piece. It is nice and stretchy, so it has worked for me when my weight has fluctuated. Pairing it with white keeps it a fresh spring or summer look…

Vest and Flowy pants: Boho with a Classic Twist
With our weather here in Georgia, summer lasts till the middle of October so many pieces of your wardrobe can be worn several seasons of the year. This outfit is an example of that: I could add a short sleeve Halftee under to add more coverage or a long sleeve shirt if I were cold (code MIREILLE20 for 20% off). I did add more pieces to my closet this summer than I planned to, but I do love all of them and have worn each more than once. I do love a little boho in my outfits and these fun pants from Cato’s (yes, Cato’s again) caught my eye on…

White Dress and Lavender Fields
When you have an idea that works, you use it again. Last year, the boys and I went to a local lavender field and took some pictures. I did donate the white dress from that post this year as I really don’t think that is what very becoming and I didn’t want to wear it anymore. The white also wasn’t as crisp as when I bought it (it was several years old at least). We’ve had a lot of rain this July and the fields were past their peak and in their 4th year. The family that bought the house (it came with the field) is going to create a…

Thrifted White Cowboy Boots: Summer to Fall Look
While I was visiting Jodie in Arizona this past spring I kept my eyes out for a pair of cowboy boots, but we didn’t come across any. So this summer, when she stumbled upon this pair in our size, she asked me if I wanted them. She tried them to make sure they were comfortable and sent me a picture to see if I like them. With the okay from me, she bought them and shipped them to me: I thought that $30 was a good deal as the ones I have seen second hand here have been a lot more so far and not in my size. When I…

August Weekly Outfits
Too many cute outfits not to share! I am gearing up for a month or so of no shopping and any time I plan a time period like that, I like to do a little reorganizing in my closet to give it a fresh look. This time it was moving my striped short sleeve tops with the rest of the short sleeves tops: I thought I “needed” more tops until I put them next to each other and realized I had a lot of choices. Saturday I wore two different olive top (one about 6 years old and one recently thrifted). It got so warm in the afternoon that I…

Summer Outfit for the Zoo
What do you wear for an outdoors summer outing? Anything that is comfortable and breathable: for me that is a skirt on the shorter side and a simple tee. I could have easily worn a tank top, but I am trying to make sure to wear everything in my closet, so I picked this thrifted Talbots skirt and a soft tee in a similar color scheme. I bought that tee before our trip to Costa Rica last year. I went minimal with accessories with a turquoise ring and a little cross necklace I bought on our trip in Georgia. First time I wore sneakers since our trip and I decided…

What do you consider a splurge item?
When Marsha suggested this theme, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone considered a splurge item. I do have a few pieces in my closet that cost more than this dress, but I have shared them several times on the blog such as my New Orleans skirt or my “real” cowboy boots. So I spent a few minutes in my closet and realized how much was thrifted or bought on clearance or just a good deal. I then took a look at my dress and while this was not my most expensive dress, I consider it a splurge item because I bought it for a special occasion…

Tan Vest Outfits Inspired by Jodie and KellyAnn
For the past 6-8 months, I have seen different friends sharing cute outfits with tan vests on IG and on their blogs. I’ve checked the aisles while thrifting but haven’t come across any vests so far. Finally, in June, I did a little internet search and saw that Belk carried some tan vests. Since our little town has a Belk, I decided to see if they carried any in store since I really like to try things on before ordering online. They had something I liked in size medium, but it was too big, so I ordered it in size small. Perfect! Inspired by Jodie By now, you know that…

Thrifted Denim Vest with Monochrome Black
I thrifted this denim vest a little over a month ago in a little antique booth in town. While my son (the 10 year old) still proclaims it is not my style, I love it! I love the cropped length, the raw hem and the little colorful details. I have worn it a couple ways so far, but this has been my favorite outfit with it, so I had to document it. While I like colorful outfits, I really do love neutral outfits too. There is something calm and quiet about them. A monochromatic look in a neutral is always classy even if it is casual like this one. The…
