May Favorite Outfits

May! Well, it has been a month! I am really looking forward to summer time, family time, and some outdoor time. The weather this month has been mild and even chilly at times so I have worn more pants than I usually do. I have had days that I have been inspired by color while others called for neutrals. Here are my 9 favorites!

I wore my white sundress on Pascha (Orthodox Easter) which was the first Sunday of the Month this year. This brought the styling of this dress to 3 ways. I really liked it with this short sleeve jacket (I forgot I had) and my sparkly Steve Madden sandals. White accessories to celebrate Christ’s ressurection!

I was inspired by Jodie( from Jtouchofstyle) to style camo with spring (I did yellow one day) and I really liked it with aqua too! Striped sandals go with everything: I am glad I finally replaced my old ones.

Celebrated my best friend’s friendship wearing my French blouse. A little front tuck since it is so flowy and I have been adding a lot more belts to outfits lately as a finishing touch. I also used my travel steamer for wrinkles: getting the hang of it!

Color again! I am so glad to have found this light tee at TJ Maxx last month. It has a cute button details on the back and the longer length is great for extra coverage when wearing fitted bottoms.

This Amazon purse has been my go to this month. I really like the tassel and color. The white sneakers have been a repeat too. This tunic is a dress but I really feel more comfortable with leggings under has is does not have much give so it rides up.

These last 3 outfits are from this past week. This tee I thought was appropriate for my son’s field day where he ahd the best of times. It was also comfortable for me since I ended doing a lot of walking and jogging that day from my car to spots where the events were taking place.

It’s that red tee again! I paired them with a fun pair of Old Navy pixie pants and it was fun to realize that my little tennis shoes has a stripe with the same colors on the back. I have been surprised at the comfort of these pants!

Once again, another pair of those Old Navy Pixie pants. I did buy of pair of red straight ones but I am saving those pictures for a post next month. I actually really like most of my outfits this month but sometimes the pictures didn’t do them justice and I also did not want this post to get too long. I am sure you will see more shorts and skirts/dresses next month!

Leaving with this Target dress (from last year) paired with a hand me down button down from my mom! This one received a lot of compliments on Instagram on Friday. I love how comfortable the dress is and it was fun to pair it with snakeskin sneakers and polka dots! I really don’t wear my button downs buttoned down but I like them tied up like this. So that I don’t have to double knot it, I used a clear hair tie around the knot: less bulky and doesn’t need to be readjusted all day.

A bientĂ´t!

These are all such wonderful outfits! Love the white dress you wore for Easter! And the red shirt is such a great find. I love TJ Maxx and as much as I dislike shopping, TJ Maxx (and Marshalls) are actually stores I love going to because I always find things there! I actually was lucky enough recently and found a Maxi dress that fits me!! (Which is practically impossible for me as I am petite).
Loving all those hummingbird feeders! I still need to put mine up. Hopefully today is the day, as the rain has finally moved on!

I do like TJmaxx a lot: I picked up some workout clothes there recently for a fraction of the price anywhere else.

I loved the red dress at first sight on IG. But all of these looks are just terrific. Really like the camo with the blue. I have worn it with pink but not blue. Time to branch out. And the white sundress with the khaki is a great pairing. Bought a steamer a few years ago but haven’t gotten it out in awhile. It is pretty cumbersome. A travel steamer sounds like what I need!!

Yes, the travel one is so small perfect for when you want to steam one or two things. I have been trying different color combo and it sure is fun.

Thanks, Joanne! I like it because most of what I blog about is real outfits so this shows them as day to day.

    Hi Mireille,
I’m new here but love your style! I immediately looked through a lot of your posts and so enjoyed seeing all your looks. So casual, but so pulled together which is exactly how many of us want to present ourselves. Well done!

I was particularly struck by your hair and how natural it always looks but well cut and kept. I hope in the future you might share how it is cut as it is rare to see someone in so many natural places like hiking where their hair just looks so right!

Perhaps you are just one of those ladies who got the “good hair” gene or it is just a gift of the French girl or you spend hours looking so great and natural, but I’m hoping you have some specific cut tips and care and what you do each day to share!

I’ve learned to cut my own hair during the pandemic, and miss my hairdresser. Since I am still staying safely at home, I hope you may share some specifics of how your hair always look so great that all of us might be able to use.

I look forward to more great posts and am so happy that Inside Out shared your blog!
Thanks for your time and effort! Pam

Thanks, Pam and welcome! I will do a post on my haircut in the next couple of weeks: I have some pictures that I can use. I really never have liked my hair much but have found that a good haircut makes my life easier. I really don’t wear makeup but once or twice a year and only blow dry my hair when I wash it every 2 to 3 days. I am pretty laid back as far as beauty routine goes and finally have gotten to the point where I am washing and moisturizing my face daily or almost all days! But I will share that soon! Usually get highlight twice a year but I think it has almost been a year: I will get it done before my birthday in September as my friend who is a hairdresser and cuts my hair will be out of the country this summer. Have a great week!

Some lovely outfits here. I love all your floaty dresses and your polka dot dress. Thanks so much for linking up to Creative Mondays. I hope you can join us again today, Friday, or next week for our next parties 🙂

I will try to put your link ups back in my rotation: doing less of them as they are time consuming but will try at least for Mondays! Take care!

Thes are cute outfits! I can’t decde if the first white dress or the last one with the shirt over the red dress is my favourite! Both are lovely on you, and although I like the other outfits those are my faves! 🙂

Hope you are having a nice week 🙂

Thanks, Mica! Not surprised you are drawn to the dresses! Wearing that white one today with a tee on top!

So many cute looks!! I think my favorite is the casual one with the red top and brown saddle bag. Those leopard sneakers are just too cute!
