Sports with the Ageless Style Link Up
This theme proposed by Jodie for Jtouchofstyle can be interpreted many ways. Since I do not typically share athletic wear on my blog, I thought this would be a fun departure from my usual style that I share with you usually. I am one of those people who just cannot spend big money on exercise clothes whose purpose it to sweat in but I will splurge on a good sports bra and a good pair of running shoes. I shared some of the things I do to try to keep in shape in this post but I also spent a couple years coaching 7 year old soccer and that is the sport I remember enjoying the most growing up. My husband and I occasionnally take the kids to the soccer field to kick the ball around and it sure is a workout!
My favorite place to buy fun affordable leggings is TJmaxx as they sell a variety of styles, brands (the ones above are Danskin) and have fun colors too. The last two pairs I bought were these and a pink/white and black pair (see below). I usually try to get them fro $9.99 to $14.99.
I am not pick about my tanks but I do prefer them flowy and try to match them to my bottoms so I typically have at least one black one. Because I walk so much and try to run several times a week, my shoes are where I spend my money. When I first started running, I wore old shoes and didn’t stretch enough: I ended up with splint shins. Not fun so I learned to invest in a good pair and these are pretty awesome: they are Brooks Ghost and while I couldn’t find mine anymore these are very similar.
Remember how I talked about taking pictures of me jumping in the air looking like a crazed lunatic: here you have it! I was getting bit by mosquitoes during this little photoshoot so I was not about to try to get another set of airborn pictures.
Wearing my new Blessed hat I bought on deal for $6 on Amazon: I love it: adjustable great quality and message and great gray/black color.

Yes, I only really wear workout clothes to work out and it is nice to have some fun prints.

What a cute post! I use to be like you and not want to spend a lot of $$ on athletic wear, in fact everything I have on in this “Ageless Style” post is inexpensive, and from JCPenney. However, I recently started purchasing items from Under Armor and I have really noticed a difference, especially their “cold gear” items. I will probably only buy name brand again

OMG, Mireille, you are so cute! The jumping photos are so fun even with a crazed lunatic look on your face! Your leggings are adorable, too. I don’t like to spend much on work out gear either but I do like bright happy colors and patterns because I feel more motivated to exercise when I am wearing something cute. I get most of my work out stuff on Old Navy clearance. Fun theme for this month and super fun photos!

It was fun despite the mosquitoes. The bright and fun prints do make it more fun to exercise (says the woman sitting on her bed eating an ice cream cone, lol!

Thanks, Bojana! I might pick up a winter gear jacket this year as I was freezing with my layers for my walk last year but otherwise yes, shoes and a good sports bra are essential.

I too love TJMaxx (and Marshall) for athletic wear, they always have a good selection at great prices! Love these floral print leggings! Fun trampoline jumping shot! I can imagine the annoyance of mosquitos. We’ve had so much rain over here and the mosquitos have multiplied. Can’t enjoy being outside for very long!!

Love this look. Give me all the bright print leggings!! I buy mine at Marshall’s most of the time because our TJMaxx is across town. But like you said, they have great deals, too!! That is a darling tank top. And I am like you. If I am wearing a tank, I want it to be loose. Just purged all my snugger fitting tanks today!!
