Sunday Showcase: Mothers Day Brunch Dresses

Mother’s day is coming up! Will you dress up and wear a favorite outfit? Will you dress down and wear something cozy? Today,  I am sharing one of my dresses that would be one of my top 3 choices to wear. I have worn this dress to a wedding as well as this year Pascha’s night matins and Liturgy. My mom gave it to be a couple of years ago and I really felt pretty wearing it on this occasion. Don’t forget to stop by Ada’s blog to see more about her outfit details! She is wearing the cutest spring dress with her daughters and love how sweet they look.

I took advantage of a planned visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with my friend to take some pictures and I was surprised at how comfortable I felt wearing this beautiful dress. I think choosing comfortable footwear was important and I am now thinking of getting a membership here once my Georgia Aquarium one expires. There are different art exhibits in the gardens throughout the year (I will share the coming up Origami exhibit next week) and seeing the different plants and flowers bloom throughout the year would just be beautiful.

This dress is made by and is a size 4. Thankfully I fit more easily in it this year than last year but I do need to watch what I eat after this past week enjoying more dairy and meat than I am used too. Thankfully I ran 3 times to help balance that!

I love the flow of the dress when I walk and the color is just gorgeous! I got a couple compliments at the gardens and it has inspired me to dress up next time I go visit! I am wearing grey sandals and silver grey Nickel and Suede earrings. I am wearing a straw circle purse I have had for a couple of years now. It is a little small for carrying a lot but I do like it during spring and summer.

Here is a peek of my sandals. They are made by Blowfish and are fun and edgy and comfortable. I found them on clearance at a local boutique. What are your plans for Mother’s day? We are planning to take my mom out (my dad too) to a local Mexican restaurant my neighbors own. They have the yummiest authentic tacos.

My husband has to leave town for a conference that afternoon so I probably will change to something comfy and go for a walk or a run or a hike with the boys. I am going to tell them that it is Mother’s day and they HAVE to come! But I will make sure to bring snacks, water and make it a short one!

I thought this was the coolest sculpture! It is a permanent part of the botanical gardens and is made of glass. It is so tall and makes such a statement! I actually thought that is was a really brush plant from afar and didn’t realize how tall it was.

The boys enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to coming back when more plants are in bloom: I think we might have to come back in May. We are very thankful for my friend who has a membership that allowed all of us to go for free!

Here is another look at Ada and her beautiful daughters!

I really like that Ada’s and I style of dresses are very different to show that you need to find what you are comfortable in and enjoy wearing whether it is a favorite style (Ada has a lot of baby doll dresses, I don’t have a single one) or a color (we both love colors) and a length (I wear all lengths). Try different things and see what makes you smile!
