Happy Birthday, Ada! Express Dress for Multiple Occasions

Today’s blog post is in honor of Ada’s (Elegance and Mommyhood) birthday! We have been cohosting the Sunday Showcase for almost 2 years now and have developed our friendship through messaging and phone calls. As busy moms it is sometimes hard to touch base but the ease of messaging or texting each helps us keep in touch. Hopefully, we will be able to meet in the near future! Ada’s has a lovely sense of style and I love how she often wear light and airy dresses and rompers. She wears colors so well and knows where to shop.  I would say, Loft, Express and Target are her top choices and in this post I am sharing my first Express dress!

I knew I wanted to wear pretty spring dresses for our Pascha churches services. For our night vigil and Liturgy I wore one that my mom gave me a year or 2 ago (I shared it on Sunday in this post) and during our vespers service I wore this lovely black and cream one. I took advantage of our stay at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center to take some pictures in a new place. I will share some of our hotel stay at some point this month. The grounds (and golf course) as well as the hotel itself were very pretty!

When I returned a bodysuit in store (which I had ordered online on vacation), I decided to try a dress I had noticed while browsing. I first tried the medium size but the arm holes were too large and it didn’t fit right in the bust. Size small was perfect. I hadn’t been in a mall in several years so my youngest and I enjoyed walking around. I definitely will check out their dresses again when I am in the market for another one but right now I am looking forward to wearing all of the dresses in my closet.

I wore my shiny and spiky Steve Madden sandals and a pair of white earrings I found on clearance at Francesca’s. I am loving feminine maxi dresses lately and am finding any excuse to wear them. Sundays are perfect for my dressier ones and during the week, I need to start reaching for my casual ones.

Since we were shooting a video for a mother’s day reel Ada and I will be posting on Mother’s day, I had my youngest join in. That was a pretty funny experience: my ideas didn’t translate too well when giving my 4 year old instructions on how to act for the video. We found that walking was the easiest! He is dressed in his Sunday’s best which is a hand me down outfit from his brothers.
