Fall Beach Vacation Outfits

I wanted to share a recap from my outfits I wore last week while we were at the beach. We spent the first few days just enjoying some quiet time (I mostly read on the beach), and let the sand and the gulf entertain the children. While I think I will pack cozy leggings and sweatshirts outfits next go around, this year I created a little capsule wardrobe focusing on neutrals, stripes and rust. These are outfits I wore either all day or part of the day. The weather started cold the first day but it gradually warmed up till we had some gorgeous weather for a couple of days.

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Are you tired of seeing this Old Navy shacket yet? I tell you, it was money well spent! It was the perfect layer several days during our stay as it cut the wind and kept me warm.

It’s funny how my shoe laces look tan like parts of my outfit but they are actually just dirty. I do need to take a few minutes this week to wipe down my sneakers and need to pick a new pair of laces for these. You have seen my tan camo skinnies before.

I really felt like our vacation went fast and part of it was because we did little. We really got up on sleep and lazied around. Not a bad thing to do on vacation.

Rust and Denim

We spent our second day doing more of the same. Late breakfast, time on the beach and a run for me.

We stayed at the same condo resort as we have for the past 3 years. I am not sure if we will return to the beach next year as we hope to have a few vacations in other places which would make it a little tight to fit in one during Thanksgiving break.

I love that the children can walk back and forth from the condo to the beach on their own and that they can choose to take a dip in the pools if they so desire. The large ones are not heated but my 11 year old braved them this time.

Bike Ride Outfit

I planned our bike ride day on the warmest and prettiest day. The youngest was a little under the weather but since he was going to be sitting and not actually biking, he didn’t complain much.

This is one of 3 rust tops I bought this fall. I last wore it with a skirt. We rode a little past Seaside (we stay on 30A in Blue Mountain) and paused for lunch.

I will share our bike ride outing on Wednesday. I like to take pictures at this fountain in Watercolor and bribed the boys to smile for a picture.

I was hoping to shop in this store (I picked up a great cookbook here last years) but alas it was closed. We picked some Usborne sticker books at our favorite bookstore and ate some yummies.

Ready for Thanksgiving

You may have noticed that I was dressed up more than I usually am on a vacation. I tend to wear joggers and sweatshirts and tees for our outdoorsy vacations but this time I wanted to have fun putting together cute outfits. I really was comfortable in everything I wore.

I am so glad I have updated by wide leg jeans that were too big with this thrifted pair. I reach for them quite often. For Thanksgiving, I wanted to wear a special top so I chose this one I had bought for my anniversary trip last year.

We had a traditional but small turkey dinner, spent some time on the beach and I followed dinner with a walk while the rest of the family watched tv.

I tell you, it is fun to have some different backdrops for pictures and surprisingly we didn’t have too many issues with wind even though we had some windy moments.

Mini Golf and Print Mixing

We went bowling the first day as it was cold and ended our vacation with some mini golf. We headed to Panama City Beach for some fun and since the first place we stopped at was closed we ended up at Pirates Island Adventure Mini Golf.

I thought the pricing was appropriate, the 2 courses were a lot of fun (we only did one) and I was very impressed by the bathrooms!

I went for a little print mixing and was very surprised I had never worn this particular combo before. I really like the thin stripes in the tee.

This is the purse I used this week which worked well for our activities. While we went on our bike ride, I was able to put it in my bike’s basket so it was not cumbersome.

Traveling Outfit

I wore this outfit for both car rides to the beach and back home. It is a 5h30 to 6 hour drive and of course a little more when you add stops. We picnicked on the way down but ate at a restaurant on the way back.

I really enjoyed my neutral palette wardrobe and felt like it really fit the beach and the cloudy weather we had part of our stay.

I enjoyed our time away but was ready to get back home. I do enjoy my home and routines. I am looking forward to our Christmas break even if we are staying home.

I am planning a date night at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and a family night at the Chinese Lantern exhibit at ZooAtlanta. I have several outings with friends planned for myself the next few weeks too.

I hope you enjoyed my fall beach vacation outfit recap and maybe find some neutral fall inspiration!
