Dots and Spots with the Ageless Style Link Up

Welcome back to the Ageless Style Link Up! This month, it was my turn to choose the theme and since not everyone is having spring like weather like we have had in Georgia, I decided to choose a theme that would work for everyone. Spots (cheetah, leopard..) and dots fit the bill. I decided to share once again the thrifted polka dot blazer Jodie found for me a few months back because it is so soft and comfortable.

I really like the length of the sleeves since I tend to fold up jacket sleeves unless I am cold. I have found I like fitted blazers the best so this one is right on point. As you can see in these pictures (which were taken the last day of February), Georgia thought it was spring!

While Bradford Pear trees have beautiful blooms, they sure stink and we are usually ready to see them drop to the ground. They do make for some pretty pictures.

I chose some turquoise accessories to pair with my polka dots. I decided to shorten my necklace by using a clear little rubber band a la Jodie and love how it stayed that way all day. You can see below how it fit the neckline really well.

I haven’t worn my leather cuffs much, so this leopard and turquoise one worked both for the theme and the color scheme I was going for with this outfit.

I wear a lot of sneakers in the spring. I found these on vacation last year and I love the neutral color and fun lug sole.

I just want to plug my nose looking at those trees! I went running that evening with my running club and we passed some on our run, and I sure was so glad I was breathing through my mouth.

I am so curious to see what all of the ladies are wearing: will it be polka dots or spots? Check them out!

Mireille, you find the best-thrifted items!
Your stopped jacket is a perfect topper to highlight our all-black outfit. And the bracelet adds spa wonderful finishing touch. ❣️

Such a pretty spotted jacket. It’s funny how you picked the theme keeping the weather in mind for our cooler temperatures bloggers, yet three of us still had to make adjustments because all our polka dotted stuff was for warmer weather. It seems polka dots are considered a more summery print and you don’t see them on winter items too often. But thanks so much for considering us! It’s hard when we’re all spread across the country and are dealing with different temperatures. Those pear trees bloom are beautiful. You are so lucky to live in an area where you have an early spring. It can get so depressing for everyone here in Wisconsin waiting for spring to come.

The theme was actually spots or dots so I thought everyone had understood they could choose either or/both. So next time I will make that part clearer.

Love, love, love this blazer. It so cute and I think it would be extremely versatile. What a great find. I also find I like fitted Blazers because they are really easy to style with jeans, skirts, dresses and trousers. You nailed it! Also how can such beautiful blooms stink? Lol!

I’m so envious of your spring-like weather! Looks so nice there. I got back from Puerto Rico last night and arrived to snow, boo! Love this cute polka dot blazer.

Your trip looked so nice! I wish we would have had some snow this year but alas… maybe next year.

I like the way you styled the sneakers + blazer combo. The flowers are pretty – didn’t know that they had a bad smell, haha! Interesting that you and Jodie both chose turquoise jewelry as a pop with the leopard print-like colors – great minds think alike sometimes!

I didn’t notice her turquoise jewelry so I will have to go back and look at her pictures. And yes, the blooms on those trees smell like rotten fish!

What a fabulous outift! Those trees look so pretty.. but I guess I’m glad I can’t smell them. LOL.

I love that you were the boss of your necklace and made it the length that worked for the outfit. Bravo, bravo!!
And I’m so glad you’re loving that blazer because it’s perfect!! The print mixing with the leopard cuff was a great showcase too.

What a cute outfit, Mireille! This one was a challenge for me even though I love polka dots! We had a Bradford pear tree at our old house. They are now on the “Do Not Plant” list in Indiana because they’re so invasive. Ours never seemed to smell, but I didn’t really go and sniff it!

Well, the theme was really spots and dots so leopard spots… was part of the choices. I guess I didn’t make it clear enough.

Absolutely adorable. Love the casual pictures of you folded on the ground. What a gorgeous setting for a photo shoot!! Even if you almost need a gas mask to withstand those pear blossoms. My brother’s street in Kentucky is edged with pear trees that have the most magnificent blooms. I never noticed the odor, though. Probably congested with allergies!!

Love your look. Cutest little cropped jacket. I need to try something similar with my olive jumpsuit. I feel self-conscious wearing the jumpsuit without a wrap. Your jacket is perfect.

Thank you so much for always being so kind to me. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you Leslie! If I do visit my brother in Alburqueque next year (it didn’t happen this year), I hope to meet up with you (you are close to Santa Fe, right). I always love reading your comments!
