A Week of Summer Dresses

I am always working to wear all of my closet, one season at a time. So oftentimes, I give myself a theme for a week to make getting dressed easier and to allow me to highlight different things in my closet. In July, I took a week to wear my sleeveless dresses and found that freeing the shoulders was a great way to keep cool! All of these dresses but the last one were thrifted over the last few years.

Double the stripes! I love finding new ways to style something and with it being the middle of summer, I chose to accessorize with color and not layers.

One of my favorite dresses I have thrifted, this yellow number always makes me look dressed up! I got several compliments and a curious friend when I wore this on errands and Aldi. Yes, I dress like this just to run errands sometimes!

I wanted to wear my newly thrifted belt and I thought my white dress would be a nice canvas for it. Again, having bare shoulders helped with the heat of the day.

I haven’t worn this dress as much lately. I thrifted it 3 years ago and featured it on the blog with some layers here. I also wore it for my son’s graduation a couple years ago. So when I was browsing my sleeveless dress to wear, I decided it needed a spin.

This last dress is from Target and I went back to my original blog post to see how old it was (5 years old). I’ve actually thought of donating it a few times because I don’t love it on its own, but I have found fun ways to style it over the years, so it always has made through my closet edits. The color is one that I really like. The scarf trend at the waist allowed me to style it in a new to me way! Here is how I wore it with a lace Halftee and sneakers!

A bientôt!
