A Special Jacket for the April Sunday Showcase
I wasn’t sure what to title this post and I was tired from a morning long run and a busy week when I wrote this, so I decided to go for simple. Last Saturday was a beautiful day so I took advantage of the sunny blue skies to take a couple sets of pictures. All of these pictures today were taken by my 5 year old who has been itching to earn some more money. I finally figured out how to have him take better pictures as he is short: he stood on a step stool!
My momma gave me this beautiful Chinese jacket a month or so ago, and I have been wanting to share it on the blog. She was not wearing it, but I knew I could wear it in a multitude of casual ways. I could have pair it with denim (white or blue), but I decided that a column of black would make it the center of attention.
She bought this red jacket on her last trip to Canada a few years ago when she visited her family. Her sisters and her were shopping in Chinatown and her sisters told her to chose something. This was what she chose. I love the bright red and gold and think it is perfect for spring. The silk button detail is very pretty too.
My neighbor gave me these black pants which were too small for her. They are a little large around the waist for me but not uncomfortably so, and I have worn them twice already this past month. Since they are so loose they ride low like a pair of low waisted pants.
I am wearing a pair of fun butterfly embroidered earrings from someone local. I occasional buy earrings from her when she post something unique that I know I will wear. These are so fun for spring and summer!
This red Chinese jacket is really well made and I am looking forward to wearing it again and again for everyday and special occasions.
