June Favorite Outfits Shopped from my Closet

The key for me to shopping my closet successfully is to use favorites and combine them with something I haven’t thought of before. Of course, there are several outfits that I do repeat, but having a nice variety of clothes sure allows me to exercise some creativity. Since I am attempting a no shopping summer, creating new outfits from what I have curbs the desire for new things because I am technically wearing something new by combining old pieces. Here are my 7 favorite outfits from June.

Tank and Maxi Skirt

I’ve worn this skirt several times since I bought it last fall and it was featured on the blog with white in this post. I hadn’t paired it with black yet and I wanted to wear comfortable sandals for church and a music concert by the tracks in our little downtown so this basic black tank fit the bill. It’s still a favorite way for me to wear my maxi skirts: just add a black tank. I did add a topper for church and I wore a pair of white biker shorts since the slit is really high on this skirt. I wanted to add a boho feel, so I chose this purse which is one of my favorites from a local shop.

Father’s Day Colorful Slip Dress

This was only my second time wearing this pretty blue slip dress! I decided to add even more color with my tropical crop top. I definitely have been drawn to colors lately.

Red Pants for Father’s Day too!

Two favorite outfits in one day! I needed to wear some wide leg pants for our biweekly #wearitwednesday IG group. These are my favorite (an Ebay treasure) and I decided to choose a top I had never worn with them. I love how the red is echoed with the flowers in the blouse.

Thrifted Outfit

Before the weather warmed back up to more typical summer weather in the high 80s and 90s, I decided to give another of my favorite thrifted pants a whirl. I paired them with a very old thrifted top (might be a dress on someone, but I have always worn it as a tunic). I tried to reflect the golden and tan colors with my bracelets and sandals. I kept the earrings minimal with my favorite hoops I won several years ago on Kathrine’s blog.

Colorful top and shorts

I love that my favorite outfits I chose to share cover all the basics: dresses, pants, denim, shorts, skirt! Some pieces are thrifted (like this cute orange top I found last spring for 75c) and others are not. I think out of all of the pieces here, the most expensive was the first skirt which is from Billabong. However, I am pretty sure everything I shared was on sale and range from being purchased between 8-10 years ago to this spring.

Coastal Vibes

After all of the bright colors, I thought it would be fun to switch gears and wear some neutrals. With the weather warming up, tanks were the way to go and I have 2 white tanks that I enjoy wearing. Because these sage joggers are more fitted, I paired them with a flowy tank. I kept the accessories neutral and added my grandmother’s pendant watch.
