August Favorites
It’s back to school! I am loving the routine and walking my youngest to school. I got together with a couple of parents to carpool after cross country practice. It makes life easier! I also am enjoying some time cooking without interruptions and am trying to add a little something fun most days to my routine of chores and errands. Time to add more exercising, some thrifting and I might try to enjoy the pool on my own once a week.
My Running Tribe
Forever grateful for my running tribe! This is the best running club ever! We support each other, love each other and make each other stronger. One of our special members, Ms. Susie (I introduced you to her a few weeks ago) had hip replacement surgery last week. We met and surprised her with a walk downtown instead of our run. We had cupcakes, a giant card and a snack bucket for her. We are also have a meal train to help out. About 35 members showed up for the walk!
Our little Sunrise Crew (not so little anymore) runs at 6 am on Saturday morning. About half of us are part of the running club. Sometimes a couple of us get together for a run: we have a chat group going so we can ask if anyone is free.

Thrifting with my mom
Last week, I took my mom thrifting. We ended up only going to one store, a St. Vincent of Paul thrift store and found some goodies! I got 2 skirts, a dress and a top and she got a scarf, a lace topper and a skirt. Here are a couple of my purchases (the skirts) and what I got my mommy (scarf and skirt)!

Good deals!
I had $25 in gift cards for TJmaxx from redeeming points on Fetch and got 2 bathings suits! The picture was a free 8×10 from Walgreens. I am making a picture wall with pictures from last year’s trip to Costa Rica.

You’ve been busy lately! Love your thrifted goodies. The scarf you got your mom is gorgeous! I’m hoping to have some more time for thrifting next week after the girls start school Hurray! I need to join a run club. I miss running with a partner. They always push you to do a bit better which is awesome!

Your running club is really big, and that was such a wonderful thing to do for your member with the knee surgery. I love that early morning photo. It’s really nice that you and your mom can shop together (and she enjoys it). My mom was not a shopper at all. But, she liked to go to the mall to people watch!
