Styling Clara SunWoo Liquid Leather Pants for Summer

I have been eyeing the liquid leather collection from Clara SunWoo and when they last reached out for a late summer collaboration, I couldn’t wait to select this pair of liquid leather skinny pocket pants! This knit fabric is neither leather nor pleather and is very comfortable and stretchy and has the look of leather. I am most excited to wear them with my fall slouch sweaters and booties, but they are going to be fun for cooler summer or spring days too! I wanted to give you a variety of styling ideas both dressy and more casual. I will start with my favorite which would be very easy to replicate with any tank and sneakers!

Casual Look

Why weren’t fashion sneakers a thing when I was growing up? I really don’t remember my shoes too much (but I remember once going to school with 2 different shoes by mistake and being very embarassed), but having cute sneakers like these would have been fun!

I absolutely love the look of these pants with sneakers and I can see wearing them in warm months with all of my sneakers and tanks.

The sheen on these pants is pretty fun and had my kids questioning what material they were made of. I don’t have much leather/pleather apart from some moto jackets so they are not used to the texture. Since I was really into different textures for my outfits last fall and winter, these will be the perfect addition to my outfits.

Monochromatic Look

I was thinking about my sandals a few weeks ago and noticing which I wear on the regular (90% of the time) versus the ones I wear for taking an outfit picture or special occasion. I really wear my flats the most even if the heel is a wedge.

Even if these are not the leggings, they are very fitted and I will most likely wear them with tops that cover my bum. This thrifted top works well in length.

Looks like I need to weed again! We’ve had a lot of rain and even though we have rubber wood chips to help prevent weeds, it is not perfect! Time for a project while the boys are in school.

With a Contrasting Color

This is another top I do not wear much probably because I feel like it is kind of shapeless. I think I bought it a few years ago knowing I would wear it for hiking and with leggings but that has been about the only times I have worn it: for those types of occasion.

For some reason I tend to pair these sandals with these earrings: the contrasting black and white patterns are fun together.

Today is my anniversary! 21 years! Last year, for our 20th anniversary, we went to Costa Rica for 5 days (see 2 of the posts here and here) so this year it will be just dinner. I plan to wear these pants with a halter top.  We have two vacations coming up, so it’s time to budget!
