Inspired by Jacqui at Mummabstylish
When I first started blogging 4 years ago, I used to find it difficult to come up with weekly fashion posts but this past year, I have been very inspired! I have been writing posts in advance as I come up with ideas for outfits shopping my closet, wearing a new piece or being inspired to put an outfit together after seeing a fun outfit on someone. I’ve also been gifted pieces this year and have typically shared those items on the blog too. Last month, I shared an outfit inspired by Cammi (read here) and today, my inspiration came all the way from the UK when Jacqui shared an outfit on IG and in a blog post here with a cute embroidered top.
I thought right away of my thrifted Caite and Kyla top and decided to pair it with my wide leg flared jeans. I absolutely loved how this outfit turned out and wore it to one of my boys school open house.
I accessorized with a pair of rattan earrings (from that same set I shared last month), a cute clutch I have had for several years and my Target squeaky sandals. These sandals are comfortable and look cute but they sure squeak. The squeak was mentioned in reviews: it doesn’t bother me much but I guess I am not sure I would recommend them because of that.
My mom gave me the paper bead bracelet and I have enjoyed it’s uniqueness. My apologies for the haziness in the pictures: I am not sure if it was the humidity at that time of the day (these pictures were taken in our backyard) or because it was sunny and the air quality was not great.
Yes, it is after labor day and yes, I will be wearing white jeans all through fall and winter. I love the crisp contrast white creates in an outfit and it pairs well in the fall with neutrals and jewel tones.
I’ve been working hard on being conscious of where my money goes the past couple of months and finding ways to be creative in my closet by being inspired by others is a free fun activity in my book. Getting dressed is not a chore, it’s a way to express myself and enjoy life.
I probably wouldn’t have put all of these pieces together to create this pretty white outfit if not for Jacqui, so thank you, Jacqui! Inspiring me across the ocean. If you do not follow her blog, be sure to visit her: it is a treat to read about her life and family and see all the pretty outfits she puts together.
A bientôt!

Adorable! And after seeing your post real briefly this morning before getting dressed, I grabbed my white jeans and paired it with a white/pink blouse that I have never worn with my white jeans. I am loving this outfit today so thanks for the inspiration!

Yay! That is what I love: be inspired and inspire others!

I love how you say that getting dressed is not a chore but a way to express yourself. And I love how you turned Jacqui’s outfit into your own.
The squeaky shoes cracked me up. I used to have a purse that the ties had metal on it and they would bang together. It never bothered me, but it drove my friend crazy,

The squeakiness does not bother me much as they are comfortable. You just can’t sneak up on someone!

That’s so awesome and I think that’s why blogging is so fun! There’s always something new to try and I love how you recreated Jacqui’s look and made it your own. I have not jumped on the white jean bandwagon yet but if I do, I want a pair of wide legged ones! They are just so fun and I love how they make an outfit so relaxed and effortless! I hope your week is off to a great start and wishing you a beautiful week ahead!

I had one before very similar which was printed that I loved. After it faded I went searching for something similar. Thanks to Poshmark, I got something even prettier.

So fun to see how you were able to create such a similar outfit with pieces in your own wardrobe! That embroidered top is so pretty and in both of your and Jacqui’s outfits it looks great paired with the white pants – two really nice outfits on you both 🙂
