Embroidered Denim: Fall Favorite

One of my favorite things about the arrival of fall and cooler weather is to get back to wearing some of my favorite denim jeans. Most of my jeans right now are thrifted, but a few I have bought in boutiques. With the trend of wearing different cuts of denim (I still haven’t tried a pair of barrel jeans), I have diversified my collection with wide leg jeans, straight jeans, etc. Today I am sharing my 3 pairs of embroidered jeans and how I typically style them. It it was colder, I would be pairing them with boots and sweaters. These outfits are fairly simply and play with textures through accessories to let the denim shine.

Grey Embroidered Jeans

For my first outfit, I wanted to play with textures. I chose a crochet sweater and calf skin mules, and added a large pair of leather earrings. I don’t remember where I thrifted these pants, but I am sure the embroidery is what caught my eye. The color also caught my eye as it is a grey-brown which is a nice change from all of my blue jeans.

Boutique Jeans

This is my second time wearing these jeans. I bought them this summer in Scottdale in a little boutique. I actually had missed them and a man was interested in buying them for his wife. When he put them back on the rack, I tried them one (despite the tag saying XL) and found that they fit perfectly. Jodie helped me cut the length as they were too long and they turned out perfect.

A Thrifted Favorite

A trip to Arizona means quality friend time, but also some fun shopping! I thrifted this pair on my first trip out there a year ago. I wore them on the plane ride back that spring and reached for them regularly that following fall and winter. I thought it would be fun to pair it with a romantic oversized blouse. I loved wearing this outfit on a cool morning. I did end up dipping my sleeve in my coffee, so at midday, when it warmed up, I soaked it in warm water with Dawn and then scrubbed the collar and sleeves with my savon de Marseille before throwing it in the wash! Like new!
