Fall Date night in a Thrifted Denim Dress

Sometimes writing a blog post is a dress up session for future outfits, and there have been several of these types of posts this month. I am planning to take this outfit for a date night at the beach at the end of the month, but I might change my shoe choice depending on the forecast. Tall boots might be a little warm! I found the inspiration for this outfit on IG and yes, I have shared several outfits seen on IG this month. I instantly knew what to pair together to replicate this outfit and I love that the scarf hides my middle section!

I did not knot the scarf because that is not how I would wear it, but I really like how the neutral tones pick up the tan from my boots. These Target boots are old, but they really haven’t shown any wear. They are soft and comfortable and have enough heel to be feminine while still being comfortable to walk in.

It’s funny how I almost didn’t buy this dress (I thrifted it) when I saw it because it was a little tight. It is still very form fitting but fits quite nicely now. Since the zipper is full length, I have also worn it as a jacket.

Going on an anniversary trip last month reminded how much fun it can be to hang out with my hubby without the kiddos and I really want to get back to going on monthly dates. I know I say that all the time, but I want to follow through!

I am grateful to have a husband who notices what I wear and likes what I wear. He often compliments me on even my day to day outfits which is really nice. Now I get the sometimes pretty funny, odd compliment that says that an outfit might be an interesting style, but those are few and far in between. Right now I am looking forward to wearing some festive outfits all of December. Sequins, metallics and shine, here I come!
