Watercolor on 30A, Florida
30A is a county road in South Walton County, between Destin and Panama City Beach. It is known for some of its upscale towns like Seaside, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. We have been staying at the Adagio condos for the past 4 years in Blue Mountain which is about 5 miles from Watercolor and Seaside. We always enjoy biking there if we rent bikes. On this particular day, we had not rented bikes yet so we drove there.
We’ve always like the park in Watercolor with its waterway and fountains. Watercolor also has a pretty blue fountain that appears on my beach outfit post where I take a picture of the boys every year.
We had some great laughs on this day. I have been trying to teach my boys how to pose when I take pictures so they look more natural. My two oldest are starting to care more about how they look in pictures so when we took some pictures on this day, we shared some good laughs about the ones we had to delete.
There is something about water, whether it is the ocean, a river, a lake or a fountain. It is soothing and delightful to watch.
We’ve taken many pictures of this bridge by the lake in the past but I thought that the leaves in the lake “mirroring” the iron leaves on the bridge was really neat.
We really had a fun time taking pictures: my oldest and I were competing to see who could take the most artistic pictures. He has an eye for details: he is the one who noticed the reflection in the lake.
I think this was my favorite day on our trip. Despite a couple of meltdowns from the children, the day was the perfect mix of playing on the beach, resting and visiting a pretty spot.

You really know how to have educational time with the boys even during fun times.
I love how you interact with them.

We really couldn’t stop laughing at some of the bad poses and pictures. Just like little stiff soldiers.

I just might have to talk my husband into visiting Florida. When we think of Florida, we usually think of Disney World which is just not our cup of tea.
Your photos are so wonderful, Mireille. I really do like the one with the reflection!

This area is absolutely gorgeous and worth visiting. And you can find rentals along 30A in different budget categories.

I love Florida. We moved here about 11 years ago. It’s such a large and diverse state. All of your photos are beautiful and I especially like the one of the white house with the reflection.

Thanks, Judee! The state definitely has a diversity that is so interesting. My parents used to live on the Atlantic side and it is so different there.
