How to Style a Strapless Tulle Dress for Everyday
While I love this dress styled on its own (I loved my birthday post outfit!), I do love the idea of wearing it for every day. So, this summer, I styled it for church and for errands too. It’s just a matter of toning the dress down a little and layering over and (and I will need to try under it too)! Here are some ideas that you can also use with other fancy dresses, so you can wear them for every day.
Layer a Blouse Over
This was my first idea on how to style the dress and I was so glad the outfit turned out as I imagined. I actually wore 2 belts: the first so I could tuck my blouse under and the 2nd for style. I wore the same starfish earrings as yesterdays, so if you missed that post of the dress on its own, you definitely have to check the post out here! I have been rotating my summer totes so this was the one for the week! My little fun flower flip flops have been on repeat this summer. There are an easy pop of color and so easy to slip on.
Western Look
I wanted to wear my dress for my birthday party and since the theme was Southwestern, I decided to wear my cowboy boots. I added a knotted button down shirt so I did not have to worry about the dress being strapless and having to adjust it throughout the night.
Tee, Dress and Sneakers
This was a simple outfit to put together: a tee and sneakers instantly give the dress a casual feel! Jodie wore this dress with a yellow tee in this post and I love that outfit too! I wore my dress this way during the day yesterday, for errands and my mom’s doctor appointment. I think I brightened some of the older patients day with my outfit! I had a good laugh when a lady in the parking lot of the grocery store asked if I was a dancer!

I am utterly shocked by how much I love the Western one! Who knew tulle and cowboy boots make such a great juxtapositional combo?

Wasn’t it fun? The funny thing is that it was a last minute idea when I realized I wanted to wear something on top and then figuring that it fit perfectly with the theme.

My favorite is the tulle skirt with the white shirt tied at the waist – what a great outfit!

That look really turned out well. I will be doing a similar post with cold weather outfits at some point with that tulle dress.
