Colors of Fall with the Ageless Style Link Up
When Colors of Fall was suggested as our September theme for the Ageless Style Link Up, I knew right away that I wanted to wear this skirt that I thrifted for a few dollars in August. I had no idea which top I was going to wear with it, but when I realized how nice the lighting was an evening a couple weeks ago, I decided that we were going to take several sets of blog pictures. My youngest had just spent some of his money on a ninja dress up outfit, so he wanted to replenish his coffers.
One of my favorite colors to wear in the fall is orange, usually in muted towns. This skirt is actually fairly thick, so it is very weather appropriate for fall and is my only pleated skirt. The tie belt just starts at the sides, so it can be tied at the front or back without extra bulk.
I actually had forgotten about this top my friend Patricia gave me last year, and when I pulled it out thinking it was something else, I realized that the length was perfect with this skirt.
A simple pair of earrings that I know I will be wearing all season and my pair of white boots keep the look fresh! When in doubt, just wear the boots. I cannot believe how often my cowboy boots add that little something extra that really makes the outfit!
I am excited for fall! With fall comes our anniversary trip, our Thanksgiving vacation, cooler weather and more outside activities. It can get a little busy with school activities, but I do enjoy the occasional school concert, cross country race and festivals.
There are other colors I enjoy in the fall. I wear more jewel tones and start wearing a lot more denim. I continue to sprinkle some brights and some whites in my outfits, but it is fun to change the color palette a little in the fall. I am excited to see what each of my friends is wearing for this edition of our Ageless Style Link Up!

The outfit is fabulous on its own, but with the boots?? Chef’s kiss for sure.
And have you tried the option of having the tie on the skirt at the side?? Could you twist the skirt around so it is??

That’s the only time I wore it, so I haven’t tried. However, the 2 straps don’t go all the way around, they should are on the side, so to tie it on the side, I would have to twist the skirt like you said.
