Trendy Scarf Belt Outfits: Shop your Closet
I don’t jump on the trend train by purchasing some new items, but I sometimes like to play with a trendy idea by shopping my closet. I ended up making my shopping break last about 40 days. It was not easy as there were weeks I was tempted to go thrifting. I don’t especially think this scarf belt trend is that great, but I have a number of thrifted scarf that I wanted to wear, so I went to Pinterest to get a few outfit ideas and I surprised myself by really liking these outfits.
Scarf Belt with a Dress
I created a simple combination with a plain dress: instead of choosing a black dress like I have typically seen, I chose purple as there are hints of purple in the scarf. I love how the scarf give makes the outfit more interesting.
Scarf Belt with Denim
Upgrade your simple tee and jeans outfit with a fun scarf! Another thrifted scarf (the color scheme drew me to this one) as a belt elevates a simple outfit.
Scarf Belt with Linen Pants
The outfit that inspired this was all neutral, but I chose to use the blue from the scarf to choose my top. I really like how the scarf just peeks on both sides thanks to the asymmetrical hem of the tank. This outfit is appropriate here in the south for all of October usually as we have a lot of warm days. I wore closed toed shoes to make it more fall.
The majority of the outfits I share on the blog are daily outfits, either ones I wear during the week or for church on Sunday. I like to inspire you to wear all of the pieces in your closet and I hope I am giving you some ideas. Sometimes it’s difficult to translate some outfits from Pinterest or what you see on IG as some people don’t always seem real (too thin, too pretty, too perfect). I have unfollowed a number of account this past year because I was tired of the buy buy buy mentality or if that person started to make me feel bad about myself. Give me real people and real outfits any day!
