Tulle Dress for Winter

Yes, it’s time to style some tulle for winter! Some of my favorite pieces in my closet this year have been my tulle skirts and this tulle dress which I wore for my 50th birthday which I also styled for fall (here and here). After wearing it then, I knew I wanted to show you some ways a dress like this (or a skirt), could be worn in winter. Of course, if it was really cold, I would add a nice warm scarf and maybe a hat to these outfits. I hope you enjoy these and find some inspiration to have fun getting dressed this winter season!

Layer a Sweater Over

Any sweater would work over the dress, but to create a wintery color palette, I thought a tan/cream sweater/boot combo would be nice.

Professional Blazer

I really like the juxtaposition of the polished blazer with the fun whimsy of the tulle dress. The black create a great color contrast. This pairing would work with all of my blazers, and it would look super fun with my purple blazer: maybe for a spring look?

Party Time

Wouldn’t this be fun for a winter/holiday party? I don’t have many of those to go to, namely none, but I would wear this to church maybe on Christmas day! I love the soft topper during the Christmas season and this would make an unusual, but fun Christmas outfit.

Would you wear any of these outfits? I know tulle skirts are not for everyone, but they sure bring a smile to my face when I wear them!
