Summer Outfits Inspired by Pinterest
When I want to curb my desire to go thrifting or shopping for clothes in general, I turn to Pinterest for some outfit inspiration! Here are several other posts where I shared outfits inspired by Pinterest.
This week, I am sharing outfits I wore mid June and as you will see, some follow the Pinterest photo inspiration closely while others just follow the general idea of the outfit. Pinterest is just there to get your creative juices flowing!
Denim, Stripes and Scarf
For this outfit, I loosely based my outfit on the inspiration picture. Since I was wearing my outfit on a hot summer day, shorts and sandals replaced the jeans and sneakers, and my scarf is tied at the belt loop.
Maxi and Graphic Tee
For this outfit, my outfit follows the inspiration more closely with a white maxi and grey graphic tee and since it was a cooler day, I did wear white sneakers. I even had a yellow purse in my closet.
Stripe Pants and Blue
I thrifted these pants recently and they are so comfortable! I’ve worn them with white too and I think grey will be a good match also. I am enjoying rotating my summer totes and bags once or twice a week. They really can compliment an outfit: I am realizing that taking the time to switch them out can make a difference in my overall look.
Khakis and White Tank
So one son said I looked like a pirate while another said I looked like a gang member, but I did enjoy wearing this simple outfit! I did lose the scarf quickly since it was hot, but it was fun playing with it.
Olive and Black Tank
This outfit is such an easy one to replicate! Who doesn’t have a black tank or tee, black sandals and olive pants! It worked out that my pants are a summery pair and are lightweight, so this was a weather appropriate outfit for a mild June day. I enjoyed adding all silver jewelry including my grandmother’s pendant clock and this silver cuff I found last year at an antique shop.
This was a fun week of outfits! It was just what I need to get inspired to shop my closet after our week in Colorado.
