2 more Pinterest Inspired White Beach Pants Looks

Big thanks to my son for taking my pictures on Sunday! I wanted to write this post as a follow up to last Monday’s which meant taking pictures on Sunday and it was really sunny. So we took to the front of our house for our pictures to find some decent shade and backgrounds. No fun outing since we were still recouping from our 3 hours on the river on Saturday. You wouldn’t think that floating down the river would be exhausting but even with hats, the sun sure was beating on us. We did have a great time though and added two 1 person rafts to our arsenal so we had the cousins enjoy the outing too.

Monochromatic Look

This look was posted in this blog post showing 14 ways to wear straw hats. I forgot about the hat and sunglasses to copy the look so we had to go back out before dinner to take the picture! I find it really fun to copy a look as much as I can!

Everything I am wearing has been worn over and over over the past couple of years or more. The white beach pants are the oldest but even the Amazon tee and Madewell sandals are repeats. The Amazon hat makes many appearances on my Instagram feed since I wear it when we hike and anytime I spend a while outdoors. While it is fun to shop for something new, I feel more rewarded when I wear something over and over.

I pulled out my little straw round purse for the summer. I will be rotating between it and my French and Spanish straw totes/baskets over the next few months. The straw baskets are very sentimental to me as I have great memories associated with them. They are a great souvenirs and even better, they are useful. I will need to feature them here soon!

I always wonder whether to get the Nickel and Suede earring of the month but the white cork gems were a definite yes: very versatile and I love that white with texture earring! When the earrings are featured as the earring of the month they come at a nice discount and by being a part of the Nickel and Suede Friends group, you also get free shipping. I think these were featured in March.

Black and White

This second look was another easy one to replicate even if more loosely: who doesn’t have a black tank and purse in their closet? Black sandals? Check. I do love the details on this tank and will be on the lookout for an elevated tank: I used to have one that I loved but after years of wear, I had to toss it!

My tank is a simple Target tank several years old but I have seen a couple basic high neck ones that I should try. I pulled out my black purse which I found at a local boutique. It reminds me of my goal to shop local if possible. My husband and I were sad to see that our local antique shop that we like to patronize went out of business and the storefront was for rent. It is the only one that I noticed but have not walked downtown recently. Hopefully, the other shops in town made it through the lockdown.

Of course, I am wearing another pair of Nickel and Suede earrings, these are the nova shape. I did not see them on their website but these black cut outs would give you the same effect.

I hope these two looks gave you some inspiration for your white wide leg pants, shorts, jeans or skirt! I cannot repeat how verstatile white bottoms are and you can still wear them with kids around!
