Favorite Fall OOTD: Dresses and Skirts (Part 2)
I have to make more of a conscious effort to wear skirts and dresses in the cooler months but I usually wear them at least twice a week for church so I have enjoyed coming up with some layers to make all of mine weather appropriate.
Fall and spring is when I wear my denim jackets the most. I really had fun making this light short sleeve camo dress appropriate for cooler weather. Since it looks like a tunic here, I am sharing it today. These are real leather boots and I can tell the difference between it and my Target boots and how those wear it or get marks on them. Funny things is that I got these on clearance so they were not much more than boots at regular price at Target.
I have worn a lot of my hand me downs or thrifted pieces this month! This dress is such a piece that my friend gave me last year. It didn’t look like much on a hanger but I love it when I wear it. It is long sleeves so works without the jacket on a cool day but I do like it with the denim jacket too.
I really loved this outfit! I added a pair of leggings for coverage and warmth and I wore it to church like this and switched the jacket for another one for our night at the zoo. I did notice two tears on the hem of one sleeve (it is a gauzy material) and I am not sure if they were there when I got the dress at the consigment store. So I used my very unprofessional sewing ability to fix those tears because I love this dress so much!
I have worn this exact outfit before with a different pair of boots: love combining a vest with this thrifted skirt. A pencil shape skirt might be my favorite type of skirt in colder months because it shows off my tall boots.
Another cute little thrifted dress for a Saturday night church service. My expedition to my favorite Revive store was successful! This one is from Loft and my only tweed piece in my closet.
I always reach for this leopard skirt in the fall and winter but I also love it all year rounds as it is lightweigth. A little more weather appropriate with the vest and some boots under.
A bientôt!

Super cute! I really love the two dresses that you paired with denim jackets. The high low hem one looks so cool wth tall boots, too.

Oh, that leopard skirt is really cool! I can see why you reach for it over and over again. I really liked the dress with the high low hem. The boots really pop!

I need to find different ways to wear the leopard skirt in winter though, I always wear it the same two ways.

You have some really cute dresses and skrits! I love the leopard print maxi, it’s so pretty! I saw a leopard print maxi in target here and I was tempted by it but didn’t get it – it’s sold out now but I keep regretting not buying it, it had pockets and everything!
I try wear my dresses and skirts in witner too although it doesn’t get as cold here as it does for you!
Hope that you had a magical Christmas 🙂

I am doing a week of skirts with Gail from Is this Mutton which is going to be good for me to practice wearing skirts more. It actually feels like a warm spring day today so I am in short sleeves!
