    Casual Spring Outfit

Today, I am sharing another outfit I wore on our spring break trip to Nashville. I packed casual comfortable clothes and really enjoyed what I wore. My closet is a pretty good mix of thrifted and retail clothes and this outfit is a perfect example of that. Both my jeans and my sneakers were purchases inspired by blogging friends: I bought the Gap slim cropped pants after Kelly Ann from This Blonde Shopping Bag shared them last year and the sneakers are a pair very similar to Bo’s from Bo’s Bodacious Blog. More often than not, I replicate outfits with similar items found in my closet, but every so often,…

Petal Pink Shopped from my Closet

When I was brainstorming ideas for blog posts for the month of April, I googled spring trends and earmarked the ideas that fit my style and my closet. I didn’t want to buy anything new, but wanted to see what I had that would work: one of the colors that was trending was pistachio and I shared my outfits with Pops of Pistachio last week. Another color was Petal Pink so today, I am sharing a petal pink outfit and I really love what I came up with. I wore this on a busy day: errands, some chores, a dentist appointment, a windshield repair (just a chip) and some cooking.…

    Travel and Nashville Zoo Outfit

With the weather a little cool for April (low 50s), I packed a denim jacket and a couple sweatshirts for our little trip to Nashville. I also choose jeans and comfortable shoes as I knew our activities would include walking and time outdoors. I was pretty pleased with what I packed even though I did not wear the one dress and sandals I had brought along in case we went out to a fancy restaurant. As I mentioned in my first recap post about the trip here, we ate lunch at a vegan restaurant called the Sunflower cafe, and I just had to take a picture in front as I…

Color Trend 2025: Pops of Pistachio

Knowing that my oldest was going to spend spring break at home and that he would be low on spending money, I decided to take as many blog post pictures as possible during that week. I found inspiration by searching spring trend for 2025 and came up with real outfits from my closet and earmarked the ones that appealed to me. My first memory of pistachio is eating and disliking pistachio ice cream in France. I remember visiting some friends who had a boy about my age and me eating a pistachio ice cream that I didn’t like so I could continue talking to him. I was probably 10 or…

    Coastal Cool or French Simplicity

Today, I am sharing 2 outfits that I think can either fit in a coastal or French aesthetic category. The materials (linen and cotton), the colors (white, tan and navy) and patterns (florals and stripes) lend themselves to either frame of mind. I wore one outfit one week then the other the following week, but photographed both the same day. I wasn’t super pleased with the pictures (I can be overly critical sometimes with my posture, hair, facial expression), but decided they would work! This is not a professional blog, but more like a letter of fashion inspiration for my friends!! White and Blue with Tan These Old Navy linen…

Spring Additions: 2 Thrifted Trench Coats

Last month, my friend Rachel and I got together for some thrifting fun and lunch. While I had a list in mind and I was able to check off a couple of things on that list, I came across some fun finds I couldn’t pass up. The first thing I bought was a red trench coat, NWT from Express. Since I already had found this trench coat, did I really need the second one that was missing a belt? I did not, however the color was too good for me to leave it and I knew both would get worn in the spring and fall. Red Trench Coat Thrifting with…

    Bright Orange for Spring

This bright orange Amazon dress from 5 or so years back doesn’t get worn very often for some reason. I love the color of it and it works well for church or a date night, but I typically wear it once or twice a year. I last shared it for fall in 2023 (here is the post) and just as I did today, I wore it with sneakers (just a different pair). This is inspiring me to pull it out more often. I let the dress shine by choosing some more subdued accessories: small “silver” earrings and some bracelets. The fun tote is one that I thrifted in the fall…

    Spring Outfits Inspired by

Today, I am sharing several outfits/ladies that inspired me either on their blog or on Instagram. I think I have shared each of these ladies before and when I saw these outfits, I knew they could be recreated in my closet. The weather in the south in the spring really oscillates from cold to warm depending on the day and there could be a 30 degrees difference between the time you wake up and the afternoon. Inspired by Paula from Dimples on my What The color scheme of this outfit stuck with me when I saw Paula share a reel putting together this outfit on Instagram (here is her IG…

Outfit Inspiration with White Jacket: Colorful Jackets Part 4

I’ve always found a white denim jacket to be an easy piece to style.  This thrifted one from a couple years ago replaced an older thrifted one that was starting to look grungy. I would say that my favorite way to wear a white topper like this is over a dress: to me it represents spring style at its best. I went to Pinterest to find some inspiration to create today’s outfit! One of the first outfits I saw had my name! And then since I haven’t been wearing my skinnies much,  I decided to diy some rips in this pair! They would then be my edgy jeans! I still…

Fuzzy with the Ageless Style Link Up

It it always fun to see what the girls will chose for the month for our link up and today it is time to talk about fuzzy clothes. I love how clothes have different texture: smooth silk, soft velvet, fuzzy fur. I decided to share how I would transition a winter look with my thrifted fuzzy furry vest. Winter Look This first look I wore to church at the end of January. My thrifted white boots have been a pair of shoes that I reach for often: they are just plain fun to wear. The fleece lined tights kept me warm and of course, so did the vest. I don’t…
