Sparkle and Shine with the Ageless Style Link Up

Welcome to the Ageless Style link up which will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. This month’s theme is brought to you by Carrie at A Stylish Fit.

When I heard the theme, I first thought of a grey short sleeve dolman top I had that has silvery thread through it (see it here) but I wanted something that would be more weather appropriate for the winter. I made it my mission to find something sparkly on my early February trip to Goodwill and lo and behold I can across a pretty shiny and sparkly silver tunic.

Thankfully, I was able to try the tops on over my tank top (the fitting rooms being closed of course) since I wasn’t sure about them on the hanger. I was pleasantly surprised with the cowl neck and the asymetrical hem. I was trying hard to find items that were different from anything in my closet and I succeeded.

I pretty much dress every day as if I had somewhere to go sometimes more casually than others and I probably would wear this casually with sneakers and black leggings or jeans during the day. This look is comfortable and special enough though I think. for an evening at home or out.

I actually had a hard time choosing shoes because of the length of the leggings. This was the 3rd pair and the higher shaft for some reason worked well even though the booties are a dark suede taupe and not black or grey like I would have chosen. As you can tell by these pictures, this was a mild day and I was neither cold nor warm in this outfit. Of course, there was wind as I noticed some crazy hair in some of these pictures.

The hubby and I haven’t gone out much since Covid, we did have a nice fun date night in January where I dressed up in cute little dress and leather jacket. For Valentine’s we stayed home and had dinner without the kids. Thankfully, we do make time for walks or outings without the children here and there. I do want to be better at planning regular date nights this year. It’s fun to have a change of scenery and get away for a couple of hours. Haven’t a 3 year old at home is like having a third limb grafted onto you! We do have a double date planned for this Sunday! I do need to make a reservation so we don’t have to wait too long!

Shiny earrings always dress up a look, I typically wear these with dressier outfits. They are fun and light! These are the first full blog pictures with my new phone but with my dirty computer screen, I can’t tell how sharp or not they are. They looked great on the phone. As an aside what is your tried and true way to clean your laptop screen?
