Floral Pants: 5 Ways

It is quite easy to come up with 5 ways to wear something when it is a neutral or a solid color. Is it as easy when it is a pair of printed pants? I found that it was not difficult at all for me to come up with 5 different ways to wear one of my favorite pair of pants I bought this year: my Old Navy pixie ankle skinny pants.

With Navy

I shared this outfit in this May post after I bought the pants on clearance at Old Navy and I have been finding different ways to wear them ever since.

With Yellow

The pants have gold leaves throughout so I picked that color to focus on in this outfit! Pink would have been a good choice too!

With a Graphic Tee

This Amour tee from Target has been one I reach to pair with anything that has a pattern in it. I think I should pick up a few more white graphic tees as I wear this one to death: such an easy choice! White sneakers were added to keep the look casual.

With Stripes

I dipped my toes in with mixing some prints by wearing my striped sandals. The tee is also striped but the stripes are small so it acts almost as a neutral. As you can notice with these pictures, sometimes I wear my tops untucked, knotted or half tucked. It really depends on the length and cut of the top and how the proportions look in the mirror. I oftentimes try different tucks before choosing which one I think looks best.

With a Neutral

I used to wear black tops with almost everything. I chose this fun black top and sandals to show how black can be worn with prints that do not include black. The navy in the pants can be mistaken for black depending on lighting which makes the pairing an even more obvious choice. I knotted the top and then tucked the knot under.
