October Favorite Looks

Every month, I try some new combination while mostly shopping my closet but also with some new additions. this past month, I stopped by Old Navy for the first time in several months and picked up a few things and also added a pair of plaid pants from Target. Some outfits don’t photograph as well as others even though I might have really like them so the ones I share on the blog are usually my top favorites while I share looks 5 times a week on Instagram.

I called this my Old Navy outfit as the pants and top are both from there. The top is several years old now and I do not wear it much but still like the classic color and fun cut. I always like to wear something a little looser with my pixie ankle pants as they are pretty fitted. My little tennies are perfect with these pants and have a fun plaid detail on the back in the color as the pants.

This cute little Amazon was almost forgotten in my closet since spring. A perfect one and done, I wore it to my son’s Beta club Honor Society induction.

This was a fun and comfy look for a zoo outing with my sister in law and niece. I love that ZooAtlanta is mostly shaded so it makes a visit more pleasant. These fun pink joggers are from a online boutique called Purple Ash. I like to wear them with more fitted tops. My Jambu shoes are several years old.

I am still loving my colorful Old Navy pixie pants and keep finding ways to wear them. I picked up two graphic tees earlier in the month there and both florals have come in handy.

Yes, I do wear dresses in the fall but mostly for church. I had never combined these 3 pieces together, they are all from either last year or older and I sure love that mustard jacket with cobalt blue. I had forgotten how stretchy this Kut from the Kloth denim jacket was and I am still happy with its purchase that was inspired from Jodie (Jtouchofstyle).

Couldn’t resist the tie dye dress on clearance at Target. Well, actually I could have resisted but I didn’t. I paired it with my denim jacket since we actually started getting cool fall weather and tried a couple of sneakers before settling on my all white ones. This was a comfortable dress to wear all day.

I love this very lightweight hoodie sweater I got from my friend when I helped her organize and reduce her closet. Since the details on it were cream, I pulled all my cream pieces to go with it!

This look surprised me with how much I liked it as I usually don’t put two loose pieces together.  I bought the Free People top from Andrea’s closet last year, Lisa recommended the pants and Jodie inspired the idea of two flowy pieces together. (Livingoncloudnine, Coasttocoast, jtouchofstyle).

Another outfit that came about from different bloggers and my best friend: best friend Veronique made my cardigan 2 years ago (blog post here), Chrissy (granolaangrace) shared the tee and KellyAnn (thisblondeshoppingbag) shared the camo Target pants last year.

As you can see, some things things are new in my closet: I feel like I have been on a shopping spree this month and I probably said the same thing last year! Making some changes hopefully in my routines these two coming months but not making any promises! When I do I tend to fail! I am loving the weather and the change in my wardrobe.

A bientôt!

Lots of cute looks! I love those two deep blue dresses on you and that lace detail on the back of the hoodie is so neat.

So many great outfits! But I have favorite this time and it’s the tie dye dress from Target with the denim jacket. I always love denim jackets on others but cannot make them work for me. I think my problem is that I am petite and every denim jacket I tried looks too big on me, even xs. The shoulders on the jackets always drop down too much making the jackets look bulky on me. Maybe I need to find a petite denim jacket to try!

The Kut from the Kloth denim jackets fit a lot smaller. You should see if you can find one on sale! I have two, the yellow one and a light denim one.

You have bought some cute things! I’m really loving the mustard denim jacket with the blue dress, I think blue and yellow are great together! 🙂 Always nice when the weather starts to change and you can layer a little more with outfits. it’s spring here so I’m ditching the layers but I feel like I have so many outfit options – always good at the start of a new season!

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend 🙂 We are enjoying our long weekend. A beach day, playdate, carnival and a lot of time in the playground!

Your weekend sounds really fun! Ours was pretty nice with a hike in the fog and rain and a laid back Sunday. I do love the yellow and blue together a lot!

Going on week 3 of no shopping… It helps that I have gotten rid of what I did not like or wear in the past couple of years and I really had picked up some nice things this past year or so. Now to wear them all in old and new ways. Enjoy your week!

It’s so much fun to discover new winning ways to pair old pieces for fresh looks. I love the blue dresses most of all. That yellow jacket with the second blue dress is just so cheerful. I have a similar long crocheted cardigan that I need to try with my camos. Thanks for the inspo.

You are welcome: that is one of the reasons I like these posts: it can give others ideas to pair things from their closet.
