Inspired by Jill and Monochromatic Cream Outfit Inspiration

When Jill (from Doused in Pink) shared an outfit with a cream shacket and plaid pants, I knew I could recreate it with items in my closet. I wore the shacket in a monochromatic cream outfit that I really liked the same day I read her blog post (here). I then decided to photograph that outfit as well to give you another styling idea. This cream shacket will also be featured for the Ageless Style Link Up on Thursday too. You are getting 3 inspiration outfits for wearing a solid cream topper!

I had forgotten how comfortable these plaid pants from Target wear. I bought these last year after seeing a few bloggers wear them and they have a been a great fall staple. The elastic waist is perfect for wearing while doing any activity. The shacket is from Old Navy this year and I would wait for a 50% sale to buy it (like I did). I am wearing XS.

We went gem panning in Dahlonega, GA for my son’s 5th birthday a few weekends ago and the boys had a ball! We purchased a decently large bucket and the boys really enjoyed seeing which gems they panned. It is an easy process and doesn’t really take that much time but they love doing it. We come maybe every 2 to 3 years.

We actually saw a family buy the $1000 “bucket”: it is actually a large trashcan filled with dirt and gems to pan. They wear going to be there a while! We were told they do sell those frequently enough, typically it is people who own Etsy businesses and make wire jewelry or other things with the gems to sell that purchase them. To me, that’s just wild: I see a $1000 bucket and I think that it could be 2 plane tickets to somewhere!

It was actually too warm for the shacket on this day (the weather was all over the place that week) so it stayed in the car until I needed it for pictures. We had a picnic after gem panning and then walked around the downtown area in Dahlonega.

I am still really liking my Lulemon belt bag and find it very practical on outings such a this one or on trips. The material makes it appropriate to wear year round and the colorway is very versatile.

What better place to take pictures than the cotton fields featuring the same colors as my outfit! My shacket has beenΒ  worn at least once a week since I picked it up early October. Just like my sand camo pants, the shacket is from Old Navy. While I wouldn’t pay full price for it, for 50% off it was a nice purchase.

These combat boots have been worn over and over in the past couple of years. They have a side zipper. They look fun with skirts and dresses too.

I took these pictures after my son got his driver’s licence. I cannot believe we have an official driver. Kids do grow up fast! The next day, the cotton was gone!

I wore this for my son’s field trip in the morning but since it was cold I had to add a puffer jacket to stay warm. It stayed in the low 30s the first hour of his field trip and it was an outdoors fieldtrip. But it worked well for the afternoon cross country meet when it was cooling down for the 60 degree weather.

A bientΓ΄t!
