Bright Blue for Easter

I typically wear light colored dresses for Pascha/Easter. I have worn my bright yellow skirt one year (here), and last year I wore this pastel green maxi dress (here) as well as this dress (we have a midnight church service and one midday on Easter/Pascha Sunday). I am not sure which dress I will wear this year, but this one could have been a contender. I actually ended up decided to wear it on Palm Sunday which was yesterday for us in the Orthodox Church. I added a Halftee for coverage and a khaki jacket as well as cowboy boots.

I couldn’t believe how perfectly this Target satin crop jacket (which I found on clearance for $22) matched this thrifted dress. The dress’ brand is Zinzane which appears to be a Brazilian brand/store. The material is stretchy and really comfortable to wear. It has a number of cute details.

The dress has a fun side split and a pretty ruffle at the bottom. Even though I have had these thrifted booties for a couple of years, this is the first year I have really worn them regularly. I like the cutouts and it is a pretty shoe when the season for closed booties is about over but you are not ready to wear sandals yet.

I will be sharing the dress on its own next month. It is sleeveless and the straps at the front can be tied several ways. I have them as a bow but they can also be wrapped around your neck and tied to hide your cleavage.

I cannot believe how many great thrifted dresses I have found the past 4 months. I finally slowed down my search at the beginning of March as I wanted to make sure to wear my clothes and not just add to my collection. Spring just calls for flowy skirts/dresses and pretty prints.

Orthodox Easter is this coming Sunday so this week is Holy Week for us. I am looking forward to celebrating Christ’s Resurrection. The Paschal liturgy is beautiful and the services this week prepare us and remind us of the events leading to the resurrection.

Do you dress up for Easter! Do you have a special dress you wear?

A bientôt!
