Gold Sweater Outfits for Christmas

I love coming up with different outfits for the holiday season and Christmas without resorting to a red and green thematic outfit. Over the years, I have worn teal, burgundy, silver and different textured fabrics like velvet to create some festive outfits. Today, I am sharing two outfits with a gold Sweater I thrifted for a dollar this fall. I wore the skirt outfit last Sunday to church.

Gold Sweater with Velvet Joggers

When I buy a special piece like this gold Sweater, whether it is thrifted or not, I want to make sure I can style it not only for a special occasion or a dressy look, but also casually. The golden color of this sweater is really pretty and has metallic thread so it has a really fun sheen to it. While it is not the softest sweater, it is not itchy. I wore it with jeans later in the week in a casual outfit. Peep my booties, which I bought for Valerie’s Avenue online boutique a couple years ago! They add a little to the holiday look with the red embroidery.

Gold Sweater and Velvet Skirt

I love my velvet skirt: I am not sure how old this skirt is, but my mom and I have exchanged it back and forth over the years and finally a few years ago, I decided I didn’t want to part with it. I love the muted burgundy and greens in it and it is perfect for the Christmas season. Since the sweater doesn’t need any embellishment through a necklace, I only added a pair of gold and white dangly earrings. I have many festive outfits I want to wear over the next few weeks, so my Sunday outfits really could all be Christmas outfits. I will be festive all month long!

My Christmas decor is all old apart from the little doormat which is from Aldi (as was my old Welcome sign). The metal reindeer were from Kroger years ago and I am not sure where my lanterns are from, but I switched out what I have in them this year, by shopping my decor!
