Georgian Corner, Roswell, GA: Restaurant Review
We stayed close to home during the Christmas break and had a couple overnight trips and one day outing to Alpharetta and Roswell (GA). We wanted to visit a couple antique shops and eat an the new Georgian Restaurant in Roswell. The restaurant opened in December and my husband brought some food home for us then (it was delicious), but since it was before Christmas, we were not eating meat, so I wanted to return and get the full experience. We were not disappointed.

Let me first preface with the fact that we have been to the republic of Georgia 3 times in the past 10 years and we love Georgian food (here is one of my posts from our trip about the food)! It is fresh and full of spices and delicious. We also have Georgian friends who have prepared food for church, so we knew what the food was supposed to taste like. Now we are in the US, so flour might be different, and I am not sure how farm to table the ingredients are, but it was authentic and tasty. Below were my favorites, the Adjaruli Kachapuri (with egg) and Shkmeruli chicken, a chicken dish in cream sauce. Yum!
The owners of the Georgian are both Georgian and we started our meal with Khinkali which are dumplings filled in this case with meat (pork and beef). Before eating it, you douse it with pepper, take a bite from the bottom and drink the juices before devouring the dumpling. Here is my post from our last trip when we made khinkali at our friend’s hotel!
One thing I forget was to order some traditional side salads as this was served in typical Georgian manner which meant that you usually have a multitude of side veggie dishes you need to add. So our meal on this day, was not big in veggies! While the reviews I read about the restaurant were great as far as food was concerned, several people complained about the service. We went in the middle of the day, about a month after the restaurant opened so there was no wait, and our waitress (a Russian gal) was efficient and polite. I hope this restaurant does well because there is not other around here (we drove 1 hour to get to it) and I plan to take my parents next month. So this is a 5 star for me!
A bientôt!

I’m glad you found a restaurant that brings back so many happy memories for you. We haven’t really explored the area much in the almost 11 years we’ve been here. Mike is a bit of a “repeat” eater. Once he finds a restaurant he likes, we go there all the time.

We don’t tend to go out to eat much and usually the same places so this was a treat.

My husband and I went to the Georgian Corner last night (3/3/26) and had the most amazingly flavorful meal. They were short staffed, but that didn’t take away from our enjoyment.
We had recently watched an episode of Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix where he was in Georgia. As he was eating and describing the foods, I was looking at their website and menu. It’s literally around the corner from us, so it became a “must go to” for us.
We ordered:
– Lamb kababi
– Adjaruli khachapuri
– Khinkali kalakuri
I’m so thankful that I found your review, as it helped guide us through their menu. What we ordered for two was easily a meal for four, the portions of food are that big and that filling!
We will go back!
