Favorite January Outfits

Most of the outfits on the blog are outfits I wore on a weekday or for church. Sometimes I get a little more creative in my closet and share an outfit that I do not end up wearing, especially when I share how to wear something several ways. Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite daily outfits from January. I really do enjoy putting together outfits in the colder months because it allows me to play with textures and layers.

Navy

I love how I finding unique pieces while thrifting. The dress on the left is a Vince Camuto dress I thrifted in Chattanooga without the belt and I am pretty sure I wore it at least once with the exact same belt and boots. I love how changing out the belt and shoes creates a new outfit. The wrap thrifted on right is probably from Amazon (there was no brand tag), but feels good to the touch and is nice and warm. I layered it over a long white button down and leggings. My black booties blend in with the leggings and yes, I still like the occasional outfit with leggings: it’s comfortable and can create a nice silhouette!

Skirts

I don’t tend to wear many skirts in the winter because I really enjoy wearing the pants and jeans I cannot wear in the warmer months, but sometimes I like a little variety! So I pulled out some skirts on warmer days and tried some new combinations! It’s fun to add western boots! The Caite and Kyla embroidered shirt is always a favorite and I love how it pairs with the green skirt (which is part of a set).

Fun Layers

My favorite thing about getting dressed in the cooler months is the fun you can have with layers. Two of my favorites were the corset/denim shirt combo and the scarf with my Eva Varro jacket. Coming up with new layered outfits brings me joy! Of course, I did have to add an extra warm layer during the coldest part of the day.

Colorful Outfits

It’s fun to wear some different color combinations: the first one is an outfit I have worn before in the fall or winter. It was very practical for an outing with my boys: mini golf in the winter is a little cold! In the second outfit, I decided to tuck the top of the dress into the skirt part (I didn’t want to see the collar) and I add a sweater to it: I do not like this particular shade of yellow near my face, but I do like the print, so I think I will be wearing it as a skirt form now on. I added a sweater and coat for warmth and I really liked the final outfit.
