Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Pink Color Search

Last week, I shared the yellow plants and flowers I saw at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The other color I searched for was pink and it sure was there in abundance too. I hope you enjoy these beautiful pictures: while I love plants, I do not have a green thumb, so there are not often any to admire at home. That is one of the reasons I love the botanical gardens: someone else does the hard work and I get to enjoy the beauty!

Of course, there were many gorgeous orchids in the pink and purple family since they were at their peek bloom. The gardens calls this time period the Orchid Daze.  I just think orchids are beautiful, but I don’t like the clutter they bring to my house. My mother in law would often receive one around mother’s day and then once the blooms fell off, I would get tired of seeing just the stem and would get rid of them.

I also found some other cool plants: I really like that starburst looking one! It is known as Star of Persia or Allim schubertii. It’s actually an ornamental onion!

The colored glass panes added to the display of orchids. I thought it was a nice artistic touch. They do something different each year.

I hope you enjoyed this little color search! Have a great Wednesday!

A bientôt!
