Denim Dress: 3 ways to Style for Spring
I shared this dress a few weeks ago after I found it in a booth at a local boutique shop. I could see all of the styling possibilities when I bought it, so I decided to share some more inspiration for spring. Since I have a pretty full closet, anything that I add to it nowadays has to show its value by being worn more than just once or twice a year. I believe this will be a great dress to style this fall with boots, booties and layers.
The dress can be worn on its own without a belt, but I wanted to add some interest and not have it look too plain. I added some whimsical butterfly earrings and a colorful scarf to match. Simple shoes since my foot was still healing from some blisters.
I don’t often layer under a dress except with a Halftee, so this was a fun departure from that. This bright neon shirt is cropped so it worked really well under the shirt. Croissant earrings and a scarf complete my outfit. Again, I chose some really comfortable shoes to wear.
I had a little fun with this layering over and under the dress and a lot of red! I really like the tulle skirt under the dress and will definitely try different skirts to see what would work for every day. This, I would wear on a Sunday.

Wow that last combination is amazing. The red colours are so good against the denim dress. You could leave out the tulle skirt and another combination is to just have the jacket. Both ways are great!

I tried it with just the jacket and didn’t like it, so that’s when I added the skirt.

A simple denim dress like this one is a great wardrobe staple and it truly does add value to a wardrobe. I love the ways you have chosen to style it, and I know you will come up with many more interesting outfits with it! I have a lack of basics in my closet and an excess of things that are, well, not as mix and matchable as I would like. When I shop now, I try to stick to a list of pieces that will really help me build more outfits. They are not as fun to shop for, but are a lot of fun to play with once you get them home!
