Denim Jacket Alternative with Maxi Dress
When I originally planned my outfit for the botanical gardens earlier in April, I planned to wear a navy denim jacket with this dress. However, after reading Jodie’s post that week, I decided to change it up and wear this cardigan wrap my bestie made me on my visit to France in 2019. I love this wrap with its unique fabric, stretch and flow. The wrap was the inspiration for the accessories which were all in the tan family.

The rose pendant necklace was a hand me down from my aunt and the feather leather earrings were a gift from my mom. This tote from Amazon is great for trips and outings because it holds a lot.
My Oka B sandals were on repeat for at least a month since I was waiting for my blood blister to heal (from my half marathon) and I kept developing other blisters on my bunion. I finally found my bunion sleeve for running which protects that area of my foot and prevents rubbing.
It was fun finding colorful places to take pictures. This thrifted dress from a couple years ago is really comfy. It reminds me why dresses are a great options for summer.
I really do love this wrap: it makes for an interesting silhouette, it is associated with memories of my friend and is unique. I love that it is a light tan color making it very versatile.
A bientôt!

Ohhh, that first photo is so pretty, but then I kept scrolling and you look beautiful in all of these and the background is pretty too! My daughter is actually at our botanical gardens here in St. Louis right now! It is so fun to visit this time of year. I love that cover up and the texture! It goes great with the stripes in your dress.
