Scarves: Unique Ways to Wear them with the Ageless Style Link Up
Today, the Ageless style ladies are sharing spring scarves. I have worn a lot of scarves over the years, some years more than others, and for a while I wore infinity scarves when they were popular. I still have them, but seldom wear them anymore. Last fall, I shared some modern scarf outfits after having thrifted a few square scarves in (this post), and today, I wanted to continue to inspire you to wear your necks carves and silk scarves in a fresh new way.
Scarf with a necklace
I think this was my favorite way to style a scarf in that last post. In that one, I used a chunky necklace, but wanted to use pearls this time. I also used a thinner longer scarf which I think works well with the more dainty pearls. I may keep on the lookout for costume pearls that can be wound a few times or chunkier ones.
Rosette Scarf
It took me several times of watching a You Tube video to figure out how to make a rosette. The video I saved on IG was too fast and I couldn’t pause it. But I did manage it! It’s getting a little warm for wearing a scarf this way, but I will try again in the fall.
Scarf as a Faux Belt
This is not new by any means, but it’s still a fun way to add a scarf to an outfit without being warm from it. I usually just tie a knot and bow on a belt loop with a smaller scarf. No bathroom knot to unite and I add some visual interest to an outfit.
Do you style wear scarves? How do you wear them?

I like the rosette idea! I do find I often have to watch a few different videos to figure out a “new” tie style.

It definitely took me a minute!

I’ve never seen a scarf joined to a necklace like that…that’s cool. Love the rosette scarf.

It was fun to try out different styles.

I love how you tied the scaft to the necklace! Such a fun way to wear it! I need to try!

It’s pretty easy. I like it better with a chunky necklace, but I am experimenting…

I always love the rosette look and I just made a video showing how to do it (not published yet). But it doesn’t have to go around your neck. I wore mine on my shoulder through the strap of my dress and you could attach it to your belt loop. Or on your purse. Or to decorate your top….so many options, so little time.

Oh, I like that idea: I could do it on my overalls strap too!

You gals are so clever. I think I remember seeing the scarf and necklace trick in an earlier post but LOVE it with the pearls. I am a pearl girl. Wonder if it could be done with a neckerchief? Hmmmm. God bless you working and working until you got that rosette down!! Your description of practicing it without being able to stop the video reminded me of trying to write the lyrics to my favorite songs while listening to the song on a record. I would play a little then have to lift the needle on the record player and write the words, then do it all again. Thanks for inspiring me to do new things with my scarves.

Yes, I shared the scarf and necklace trick once before. I am sure you can do it with a neckerchief, might be even easier!

You are so clever in the way you wear your scarves. I love them and wear them often but usually in the traditional ways.

It’s fun to try different things, but I do mostly wear them the normal ways too.

I like scarfs, but now I am glad, that the time for scarfs is almost gone. But yes, they can be a nice accessoire in summer too when it is not too hot.
Nice outfits dear Michelle
Have a good time and all the best

It does get too warm for them around the neck now.

I really like posts like this because they remind people that accessories can completely change an outfit without needing an entirely new wardrobe. The scarf with pearls styling feels especially elegant and fresh because it mixes classic pieces in a less expected way. I also think the faux belt idea is practical for warmer weather when wearing scarves around the neck can feel too heavy. Sometimes the smallest styling details are what make an outfit feel more personal and creative. I recently shared a new post on my blog too and would love for you to stop by and read it http://www.melodyjacob.com

Thanks, Melody!

Very creative! I almost bought a $5 scarf with strawberries on it at Target yesterday and now I wish I had. I was trying to be “good”. It was very summery!

I really like my brighter printed scarves: a touch of color is a small piece.

My fave look is the one with the scarf on the jeans. I need to do this!

It’s the easiest and so practical.
