Picnic Pouch: Ready for a Picnic at any Moment
As you can tell from my recent posts, I enjoy picnics! And apart from when we travel as a family, my picnics are usually solo picnics. So, a week or so ago, as I ate by the river and realized I had forgotten to pack a napkin, I decided I need to create a little picnic pouch where I would keep picnic essentials that I could throw in my basket or bag at a moment’s notice. If you have missed those two recent posts, here they are: Be A Joy Seeker and What to Wear on a Picnic.

This last picnic was a last minute one as the week had been busy, but I found that I had a little over an hour of free time before picking up my son from school. So I threw together a salad, packed some brie and grapes and a little piece of chocolate and grabbed my new pouch.

I also brought a book and a hat, and chose my Spanish basket to carry everything. I keep the hat and the multicolored blanket in my car at all times. While the blanket is polyester, I like that it is wipeable and is packable: it comes with a little bag you can squish it in.
I do not have much in my pouch because I don’t need much, but I might add a few things. Right now, I have a cutlery set, wet wipes, napkins and some sandwich bags that I use to corral my trash. What would you add to this pouch?
A bientôt!

That is a great idea to keep a pouch packed and ready to go.

I too enjoy a picnic and my husbaand and I often take a drive for a picnic lunch and enjoy picnics with the family. Your picnic pouch is a clever idea.

The only thing I could think of might be a small can of bug spray. Love this idea of solo picnics!

I like having different little bags to throw in purses and totes.

So smart. I need to keep a little pouch like that in my lunchbox for the days I substitute teach. Might be a good idea to add a couple of salt and pepper packets in there, too.

I was thinking the same too. I just need to pick some up!

How fun that you picnic by yourself. It’s healthier than going through a drive-through that’s for sure. Love the pouch idea.

That’s for sure!

My first idea was sunscreen. Those travel size bottles would work really well.

Oh yes, good idea!
