Summer Bucket List and Spring Recap

Spring Bucket List
I do not have a lot on my bucket list apart from mostly some outings:
- I got a membership to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens so I would like to go at least once or twice this spring (got the membership and we did go twice, here are my blog posts about those visits, here and here)
- Hike with the boys during spring break (we did not)
- move in my parents mid May (my parents moved in April 25th and their house is now on the market. We are still sorting through some of their stuff, just one more load after this weekend. They have been all the way moved in and unpacked for a month now and are settling well. Both of their health and happiness seem to have improved. We are all happy!)
- do a little spring cleaning (emphasis on clean, decluttering in not as needed) (not so much lol, but we have done some decluttering and about finished our fun media room and game room on the 3rd floor.)
- Run the Northside Women 4 miler in May (I did, see post here)

Summer Goals
Health:
- run twice a week
- walk 2 to 3 times a week
- increase veggies and healthier snacks
Fun:
- pool once or twice a week
- one weekly outing
- make a 1000 piece puzzle
- J: Greenville barbershop quartet camp (we will do mini vacay)
- Arizona me
- 4th of July parade and cookout
To do:
- finish cleaning out M’s apartment
- finish organizing garage (mom and dad stuff)
- DMV J (done)
- Host a movie night with the gals
- Host a couple’s shower for my Goddaughter and fiancee end of August

Glad the move went well and you can already see some health iprovements for your parents. I’m sure it was a big adjustment for everyone. You did pretty great with your spring bucket list!

I really did: it helped not to have too long of a list!

It’s so helpful when you write these things down.Because sometimes we think about them, we know we wanna do them, but if they don’t get written down in my world, then it doesn’t happen.

I need to! We do need to do something to soundproof one wall, but it is mostly all done.

I’m impressed by doing a 1000 pieces puzzle! I can’t do any puzzle with more than 500 pieces.

Some, I give up on but others are not so bad.

Movie night with friends sounds fun! I thought your parents lived in Georgia?

Yes, and so do I. They lived 30 minutes from me.

Oh how healthy and balanced you seem to be! I love that you want to run and walk more. I usually walk every day, but the current heatwave has been hard 🙂 good luck with your goals

Well, I do like my sweets too!

So glad to read your parents and your family have adjusted well to living under one roof. How rewarding to see your parents’ happiness return. God bless you!!
I need to follow your good lead on eating more veggies. Have begun drinking homemade smoothies and throwing everything in them but the kitchen sink. Spinach, cucumber, lettuce and loads of fruit.
I should pull out a puzzle for PC and I to do. We bought a couple on sale at Hobby Lobby that we have never worked. Thanks for the inspo.

It’s really been good for them. What I read about fruits and veggies is that making them into smoothies breaks down some of the good stuff, so it’s better to eat them whole. I learned a lot from reading the Glucose Revolution by Jessie Inchauspe. The puzzles really relax me!
