Statement Skirts with the Ageless Style Link Up

I consider most of my skirts statement skirts as they either are colorful or just a statement length in my opinion. So when Jodie and I decided to choose a theme for some blog posts, it aligned perfectly with this month’s Ageless Link up. I wasn’t sure which skirt I wanted to wear, but decided to style the same skirt I wore in June’s post. This is the second time I have worn it this year after a while of not wearing it. Jodie and I partnered up for this post as we took our skirt pictures during my visit last month. Stop by her post to see how she styled her statement skirt here!

Since I really do not need anything when thrifting, I usually try to only purchase things that are a little different from what I have. This beautiful floral skirt was such a find 2-3 years ago. It’s colorful, has a fun belt tie and is comfortable to wear.

The bag was thrifted this summer as well as this fun strapless top. I see many styling ideas for it as a layering tool, but I have really enjoyed it so far solo: it is so much cooler not to have sleeves!

Statement skirts are easy to style with a white or a black top or any color in the print. If it is a maxi skirt, it can be worn as a dress too as I have with different skirts in the past:

• western edition
• tropical summer
• orange skirt

Of course, I have some denim skirts and some “quiet” skirts, but I will say that I always wear the ones that stand out most often. This was a fun outfit for visiting the Phoenix museum of Art and listening to a lecture on one of the fashion pieces.
