Caramel Crossbody Bag and Summer White Dress

While I was looking at spring and summer trends for 2025 and getting some outfit inspiration on Pinterest, I can across some outfits featuring clothing pieces and accessories in caramel tones. A warm, pretty brown with golden undertones, caramel is a rich neutral color that I decided I wanted to add to my closet. I promptly went thrifting and found a few pieces such as a corset top, a tank top and a pair of shorts. I didn’t find a purse that appealed to me so I stopped by TJMaxx and came across this pretty crossbody bag!

The color was exactly the rich golden brown I was looking for, the strap is interchangeable and the shape of the purse perfect for my needs. I had to have it!

I wanted to wear a pretty neutral outfit when sharing the bag, so I decided to take pictures after church one day earlier in May. My shoes and dress are thrifted. I had not worn my distressed shirt in a while and upon trying it out with this dress, I decided I liked the combination.

I really had fun matching my accessories to the topper. Red shoes, red, orange and gold bracelets and flower earrings pick up the motif and colors in the shirt. The bag’s strap also mirrors those colors. The dress is not restrictive at all, so this was a really comfortable outfit. I just had to be careful not to spill food on myself at lunch (it was tacos!).

Look at the knots in this tree! I often take pictures in this parking lot because there are different spots to take pictures: trees, picnic benches, wooden fence, a road, etc. I hadn’t noticed the cool knots in this tree before because we usually don’t take our pictures near it.

I have said this before and I will say it again: what you wear can really make a difference in your mood and how you feel about yourself and your day. When I love an outfit, it puts a pep in my walk, I often feel more confident and it sometimes can make me feel more positive about my day.

I really have been working on my attitude lately. I can get stressed and look at things negatively, and I can be a little cranky. I really do not want to be the person that children and adults think as a curmudgeon! I have been trying to smile more at church (which is where a lot of my interactions are) and at running club and try to keep my complaints to a minimum! Summer is upon us and I need to enjoy the time with my sons as much as I can. I want to make memories and enjoy the little moments!

A bientôt!
