White and Blue for a Day in NYC
While I did not do a great job packing appropriately for the weather for this trip to Long Island and New York, there are some things that were worn once or twice! Since I wore my newly thrifted jeans and olive pants several times on the trip, I wanted to wear something different when we went into the city. The weather was going to be the perfect, just around 70 and the skies were clear. No rain on the forecast!

I settled on my white denim which I wore on our travel day over. It may sound like a strange choice, knowing that I would be sitting on the subway, train and maybe in the park. However, it worked out perfectly: no stains! I felt that the color combination was fresh and summery and the fit was very comfortable.
We enjoyed our time in Central Park and in the city and I will share a little more of that on Wednesday. But I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the subway and Central Park. I only noticed just a few homeless people. We spoke to an Italian gentleman from Brooklyn on the subway and he said there that the city had been cleaned up a lot in the past several months. Since we were traveling with kids, I was happy for that.

We had fun walking down 5th Ave and stopped in a few stores as well as had ice cream in the Trump Tower.
Wearing my sneakers was of course never in question. I have worn these a lot so I knew they would not bother my feet. My accessories didn’t get in the way and while I wore my bag on the side for pictures, I wore it crossbody the rest of the time! It kept my wallet and phone close to me!
A bientôt!

I’ve only been to NYC once in April right after 9/11. I thought it was clean, but we didn’t use the subway. Love this shade of blue!

When we used to go, it was always very clean, but that was years ago!

What a great fact to know it’s been cleaned up. We’ve seen NYC both ways and it’s nice when it’s family friendly.
Love the look

That is a darling outfit. Such a pretty blue. I ordered a similarly cut top from Shein and just received it. Need to pair it with white pants. You were very brave to wear your white pants on the subway and to Central Park.

That shade of blue is one of my favorite: I really like the bright royal color.

The white jeans with the blue top looks very fresh indeed. And I’m impressed the white worked out so well as for stains and getting dirty.
