Neutral Looks: Summer OOTD
After a couple weeks of very bright outfits, I decided I wanted to wear some neutral outfits. The fun thing about a thrifted wardrobe is that I have quite a variety of colors, patterns and style and while I do love my boho pieces, I really like a little bit of everything.
Ombre Tulle Skirt

I absolutely loved this outfit: I wore it on errands and visiting my parents. Both the skirt and the tee are thrifted and the earrings and bracelets were new additions bought in Arizona.
Inspired by Janki
You know how I love to copy a look and this one from Janki was a no brainer! I had some very similar pieces in my outfit.
White Maxi with Tie Belt
I had been wanting to add some colorful belt to my closet, and had been looking at scarves until I remembered Jodie sharing an easy way to create belts from ties. So a few days before my trip to Arizona, I thrifted 4 ties and she sewed them for me (as I don’t have a sewing machine). I love these! I will have to share the other belt soon! The dress is also thrifted, but from a few years ago. I am also loving my new wooden bead bracelets!
Fall Colors in the Summer

I tend to wear this dress more in the fall but it is great for summer time too. I wore biker shorts under during the day, but I actually forgot to take my daily picture, so I had to change out of my PJs to take this picture. I also have pool hair!
Mini Skirt and Black

A very simple outfit for a Saturday with not much going on. My husband and son went shopping for a TV and sound system for the living room. Our TV was about 14 years old, so it was not too much of a disappointment. We had looked at both TVs and sound systems the past few years, but had never pulled the trigger since they were working fine.
Tulle with Black

What better way to end the post than bookending it with another thrifted tulle skirt? This one, I found in Arizona and decided to keep the look toned down with black (I originally thought to pair it with a bright striped and floral tee). I love how simple it is.

What a great idea to make a belt out of those ties. Never saw it before. Love the tulle skirt, also never seen before. Have a lovely weekend.

Thanks, Nancy! Jodie had shared the tie belt before so I remembered it when I wanted some colorful belts!

I love that tie belt! I’m going to have to ask Jodie how to make one! I saved several of Mike’s ties. He had to wear them for years. I kept my favorites so they should work for me, right?
Have a wonderful extra long weekend, Mireille!

Yes, it was super easy to make! It is just a matter of choice which two ties I like together. I need to wear my other one this week.
