2 More Ways to Wear a Sari Skirt
While I did buy some new clothes this summer, it also has been my goal to wear as much as I can in my closet. I have been wearing more skirts and dresses in the past few weeks, and I decided it was time to wear my sari skirt. I have shared 5 ways to wear it in this post and wore it with a denim jacket last fall here and one more way here. Now, I do not remember all of the ways to style it, but have a cheat sheet with instructions.
Skirt with a Sash

This was an easy way to wear my skirt: tie the wrap skirt and grab the top layer, using an ortho rubber band to create a Sash (a lot less bulky than a knot). I add some turquoise colored accessories including my souvenir bag from Costa Rica that I always forget to wear.
One Strap Sari Dress

Again, I am so thankful for my instruction sheet on how to style my skirt. I usually have to read the directions a couple of times and I do choose the easiest to try. I wear the skirt most often as a skirt, but it is fun to try it different ways. I wore it styled this way, the week after the way above, for afternoon errands and church.
I always feel accomplished and proud of myself when I wear my clothes over and over throughout the years whether they are thrifted or not. This was a good buy last year!
A bientôt!

What a beautiful pattern!
I have an original saree which is gorgeous, my ex picked it with the help of an Indian colleague – she guided him through traffic and in the shop 😉 – on one of his business trips to Bangalore. I have never worn it, but I keep petting and admiring it.

That is really cool!

Oh, good, you do have the instruction sheet…I use it many times too because you just can’t remember all the ways.
But the sash!!! That’s creative…I haven’t tried that yet.

The sash was one of the options on the sheet: and yes without that instruction sheet, I would be lost!

This is gorgeous!! I got this silk scarf from the bazaar my last trip to Istanbul and I’ve been trying to figure out how to wear/style it.

Depending how large the scarf is, you might be able to wear it as a skirt!

That is such a beautiful and versatile piece! I had a similar skirt years ago and could never get the hang of wearing it any other way besides a skirt. I really like the colors in yours.

It is just a matter of practice and the instruction sheet really helped!

What a fun and versatile piece this is! Both stylings look great on you, and I am really drawn to the one shoulder look. It fits you beautifully, and the colors in the print make a striking contrast. I have seen these pieces made to be styled in multple ways before, but not with such a large and dramatic sash. Thanks for sharing your closet, and hope you have a good rest of the week!

The sash is pretty fun! I still need to try a few more ways, but these two were pretty simple.
