June Favorites

Another month has gone by and we have enjoyed some more home time! I am getting a little cabin fever so I have planned a couple get together friends in the next couple of weeks. While I have slowed down my shopping, there a couple things that made it into my home so I will share by top 2 favorites of those.

#1 The Pool

After some debating, our HOA decided to open the pool the first week of June. I was beyond grateful since it has been harder to convince my boys to go play outside. The newness of playing outside at all hours of the day has worn off especically with the weather warming up and the humidity increasing. We usually either go before or after dinner for about an hour unless we meet neighbors there. Then we might play longer!

#2 and 3 Colorful Clothes

While I am working on slowing way down on buying clothes, I did buy two very colorful pieces: this Target skirt and a pair of yellow from Ross Dress for Less.

Thinking about how I will wear this skirt next week! I love to rotate old and new clothes in my daily outfit to keep it interesting!

#4 Blogging

Blogging has kept me entertained and in touch with other women around the world. Some of my outfits were featured as favorites on other bloggers link ups and it is always fun and rewarding to see my face out there. Thank you to all of my readers for coming back and reading my posts week after week. Ada frome Elegance and Mommy hood invited me to co-host her Thursday Moda Link up 3 weeks in a row and that was a lot of fun!

Here are are the 3 posts if you missed them:

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

That is it for June! Not many outings apart from a bike ride or 2. I hope July will bring a couple of fun day adventures.

A bientôt!

It sure is practical with the kids! Granted we haven’t gone this week, but the cousins are coming over next week so I am sure we will be there most days! Thanks! Color=happy!

Yay for some activities planned! That’s great about the pool, where my mom lives, they decided not to open it so she’s grateful to be able to come out to mine, although we still have Not hugged since March. You know I love that skirt on you!

I think I will wear the skirt on Sunday again! With black this time! I have been looking at your dress today… Going to wait for another sale on dresses before making a decision, lol!

Yes, I don’t feel like spending money much on adventures this summer so I am glad we are figuring out a few things to do. There are a couple state parks I want to visit. Yesterday we had a fun bike ride!

The pool looks like so much fun! I LOVE that red skirt you got and the super cute leopard shares you paired with it. I can’t believe how fast June flew by!

Thanks, Grace! I wore the skirt again today. Fun to find different combos! That color is so pretty!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Sounds like you are keeping busy by your comment! In my last post, I mentioned that I have 3 closets of clothes, not counting what is in drawers. For one who had to wear either a uniform or scrubs their whole professional life, I have no idea what the heck I was thinking wasting all that money!! Now that I am retired, I am taking my clue as far as clothes, from Jane Fonda who announced at the beginning of the year, she was not going to buy another article of clothing unless she truly needed it, not wanted it. She was going to wear what she had and not be so wasteful in buying things that she did not need. I live a very relaxed life style and go out very little so I will be donating a lot of clothes to Salvation Army and giving me more room in those closets for other things!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

Clearing out the closet will be such an accomplishment! I have bought more than I should this year but I will say I have been wearing what I bought!

I love that bright target maxi skirt on you and the yellow pants are you you! They are really fun! 🙂

I didn’t buy much this month either – just 2 scarves! 🙂 I have been enjoying getting to use my winter pieces again with it being a bit cooler here, and I have plenty of winter pieces from previous years of shopping! 🙂

It’s so good your pool is open again – we are waiting for stage 3 of restrictions to that, so next month! Not long to go now, we are counting down the days until the pool is open and swimming lessons can resume! 🙂

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend 🙂
