5 Outfits Inspired by Others: Shopping my Closet
A couple of weeks ago, I was inpired to put together an outfit inspired by one of the other bloggers who participated in the 7 day skirt challenge Gail from Is this Mutton put together. After writing about an outfit post inspired by Jodie from Jodie Touch of Style, I had a few comments about how people really enjoyed my inspired by posts. So here you have 5 outfits that were inspired by pictures I saved on Instagram that I knew I could copy or create a similar version by just shopping my closet.
When I saw Leslie from Once upon a Time and Happily Everafter wear her Old Navy vest with a royal blue sweater, I was thrilled: I had the same vest, a similar sweater and a black skirt! I had never paired the mustard vest with royal blue so I was happy to make this an everyday outfit. The skirt is a ribbed material that is very practical for wearing during the week doing every day things.
I wear this Amazon leopard sweater of mine all of the time with my black leggings but I never think to pair this hat with it! So striking a post and wearing cloves for a minute to show my outfit inspired by Bo of Bos Bodacious Blog!
I do not have a long shacket but the colors in my shacket do remind me of KellyAnn’s (This Blonde’s Shopping Bag) so here is my version of that outfit. I usually wear my white joggers just around the house to lounge or sleep in but it was a fun afternoon outfit for me. Combat boots, a beanie and of course I had to take a picture in my dining room to add to the similarities!
I discovered Rachel of The Faux French Girl on Instagram and love her love of thrifting, her sharing of recipes and her love of France. She actually lives less than 2 hours from me so I am hoping to go up to visit her maybe at the park next month. The closest to a buttoned cardigan I had was my new blush one so here is my outfit inspired by her.
Last but not least as this is one of my favorite bloggers, Grace from Graceful Rags inspired this outfit! I had yet to paired blush with these pants so here is my take on her outfit. I am a little jealous of Grace right now as she is on a semester abroad in Scotland! After wearing my green hand me down leather jacket today, I realized that it is starting to fall apart at the collar and the inside lining is disintegrating. Going to be on the lookout for a second hand dark or black one but a little more fitted since my other faux leather jacket is a little oversized too.
A bientôt!

It’s amazing how you can find some of the same ideas from our “friends”. I love these all and I know what you mean about leather jackets falling apart. I just had to purge a pair of shoes for that same reason.

I love this post idea!!!! How fun and you pull off all the looks like a boss. What I truly love about this is the diversity of the outfits you wore and how you put them together. I love the hat and maxi dress look that was inspired by Rachel. I am really digging this post and thank you so much for the mention, what a great honor. Have a wonderful week.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I love your look in a tall shawl, your look inspired me to buy one to look more energetic. I usually wear my white joggers to lounge around the house or to sleep in but this would be a fun afternoon outfit for me. Most of the time when I need to buy such great fashion products, always consider global online stores like Nykaa, ubuy, Limeroad, and others; Because I believe they will give us variety and fashion stories always require a variety of products.
mimifce
Thanks! I had fun copying these outfits especially that I am working on shopping less this year and more second hand.

Thank you so much for copying this look of mine! And for including me on your blog among all of these other stylish gals. You have mimicked their looks so well but also added your own twist or take. I would wear any and all of these outfits. Loving the shacket trend. Woke up thinking I need a blue one!! And this neutral camel plaid is great. Thanks for the reminder to pull out my hat. My PC bought it for me and I love it but feel a little less confident wearing it. But I got a dreadful haircut last week so maybe I can get used to wearing it while hiding my hair!
