September Thrifted Finds: Adding Interesting pieces to your closet

I was so happy to find some really fun pieces while thrifting this past month. These were found on a shopping trip in Chattanooga, TN with my friend Rachel from @thefauxfrenchgirl. My goal is no new clothes till the end of the year and I will have a budget of $50 for thrifting for each month through December. If you are on a budget, shopping second hand is a great way to add interesting pieces to your closet.

Popover Top

We visited 2 stores, America’s Thrift store and the Northside Neighborhood House Thrift Store. I found this cute top and suede purse at NNHT which had a nice smaller shop feeling. I tried on quite a few pieces there including a couple dresses I took off of mannequins but most were too small for me! I couldn’t pass up this cute popover top though and I really enjoy neutral crossbodies so I knew I could get my cost per wear on the bag for $3!

Dress New with Tags

This dress was a nice surprise at America’s Thrift. I love the color and length! This is a true wrap dress and my half tank works perfect with it. I can see this all through fall and spring with all of my denim jackets and booties (can’t wait to wear it with my mustard jacket) and with sweaters and boots in the winter. A dress for 4 seasons!

Chambray Tunics

My mission was to find some chambray pieces so I was excited when the 2 first items I found were the following two chambray tunic length pieces.

I am wearing the chambray button down today in this exact outfit for traveling! I wore it during the week a couple weeks ago to see how I felt about it as a travel outfit. It received two thumbs up! Comfortable, coverage.. It is a great length and 2 slits on the side.

Interesting Accessories

The hat (not pictured) and necklace were inexpensive finds at the NNHT  shop and I did get them off the mannequins too. They fit, lol!

I almost forgot these fun grey mules originally from Naturalizer. So easy to wear and quite comfortable.
