Winter Break Outfits: Sweatshirts and Jackets

It was fun to plan a comfortable but stylish winter break wardrobe! I packed a little more than what I wore but that gave me some options. I typically pack more when we drive versus when we fly. Of course, I looked at the forecast first and since we were planning to go snow tubing, I planned accordingly. These outfits feature sweatshirts and jackets!

Sweatshirts

A thrifted tunic length sweatshirt worked great for my traveling outfit. I drove the 5 1/2 hour drive so my husband could get some work done on the way to North Carolina. I did throw out these thrifted boots after the trip as they were at the end of their life. Leggings are always comfortable for a drive or a flight and worked well on this occasion.

Another thrifted sweatshirt that you might have seen in the February Sunday Showcase with a leopard wrap skirt in this post. It’s really cozy and I do like that it is white so it really works with everything.

This was a really fun outfit to wear and I felt really cute in it. As many of my readers told me in this post, the boots really made the outfit!

Jackets

2023 has been a great thrifting year so far: case in point, this great warm colorful jacket. I almost passed it without trying it on because it was a size large. Then I remembered, that size does not mean anything so I should try it. I am so glad I did because I love this jacket and have worn it many times in the last few weeks.

I don’t wear my Sorel snow boots very often but I am always glad for them when I do. They are warm and keep my foot dry while look pretty cool. They are a little difficult to put on but they are worth the effort. My winter coat (which I didn’t wear much this year since it was not cold much) was an end of season buy a couple years ago and another great winter coat. We were really glad to have had snow on this trip!

We invested in snow pants a year or so ago for times like this: it is much more fun to play in the snow when you know you are going to be warm and dry. They were perfect for our playtime in the snow and our snow tubing day.

All in all, I was pleased with what I packed and it was appropriate and  still cute for a winter trip.

A bientôt!
